The real Xue Qinghe was secretly killed while still a teenager. Qian Renxue then assumed his identity, infiltrated the Heaven Dou Empire, and rose to the position of crown prince. She is the granddaughter of Spirit Hall’s Grand Priest Qian Daoliu and daughter of the late Pope Qian Xunji. Her infiltration was motivated by Spirit Hall’s internal factional struggles and her need to build power independent of the Papal Hall faction. 94 127

As Xue Qinghe, Qian Renxue maintains a trusted relationship with Emperor Xue Ye. Xue Ye considers the crown prince steady and reliable, granting him the exceptional privilege of entering the imperial study without prior announcement. 109

During Spirit Hall’s attempt to detain Fang Yuan after the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament, Qian Daoliu identified Xue Qinghe as his granddaughter, Qian Renxue. Despite this exposure before the figures involved in the confrontation, Qian Daoliu continued to regard the Heaven Dou infiltration operation as strategically important. 178 182

Xue Qinghe is composed, calculating, and patient. Even when Fang Yuan flagrantly bypasses palace security or indirectly implicates him in Prince Xue Xing’s murder, he suppresses his reactions and continues probing for information rather than acting rashly. 92 126 127

He is highly pragmatic about power. He views Soul Tool research as a means to strengthen both the Heaven Dou Empire and, ultimately, Spirit Hall under his future control. 94 110 111

His interest in Fang Yuan becomes increasingly personal as well as political. While maintaining the crown prince persona, he is visibly affected by Fang Yuan’s appearance, strength, and potential. 95 99

Soul Tool Policy

After witnessing the potential military value of Soul Tools, Xue Qinghe presents the Trigger-Activated Soul Tool Shield to Xue Ye and advocates making Fang Yuan a priority imperial ally. He gains authority over Soul Tool affairs and develops a policy of secret military procurement combined with controlled educational access for rival powers. 109 110

Xue Qinghe’s policy contributes to the Heaven Dou Imperial Family becoming one of the first major purchasers in Tang Sect’s large-scale Soul Tool trade. 153

Prince Xue Xing’s Murder

Following Prince Xue Xing’s assassination, Xue Qinghe summons Fang Yuan and indirectly tests whether he was responsible. Fang Yuan counters by suggesting that an infiltrator could have replaced someone within the palace, forcing Xue Qinghe to question whether his true identity has been discovered. 126 127

Xue Qinghe ultimately gives Fang Yuan a Hundred Thousand Year soul bone in an effort to bind him through gratitude and cooperation rather than confrontation. 127 128

Spirit City Confrontation

When Bibi Dong attempts to detain Fang Yuan following the tournament, Xue Qinghe openly invokes Heaven Dou’s interests and supports Fang Yuan against the Pope. 177

Qian Daoliu’s arrival exposes Xue Qinghe’s identity as Qian Renxue and forces her to withdraw from direct involvement, as she cannot openly oppose her grandfather. When Qian Daoliu later attacks Fang Yuan, she nearly intervenes before Ning Fengzhi restrains her. 178 179
