On the morning three days later, Lynn was adjusting the command brands on several newly subdued undead in his small compartment when a message suddenly came through his Nameplate.
The investigation team had arrived!
Lynn extended his mental power and sensed three Formal Wizards standing outside the door.
Their leader's aura had reached the Third Ring, and he wore the insignia of Soulweaver Marfa's faction on his chest.

Countless thoughts raced through Lynn's mind, but his expression remained unchanged.
He rose and opened the door, bowing slightly. "Please come in."
The leader nodded indifferently, while the other two bowed in return.
Then all three strode into the laboratory without ceremony, utterly unconcerned that Lynn might try anything.

The leader offered him a formal bow of respect, as did the two behind him.
Gregor ignored him, frowning slightly at the sight of so many people entering.
"Boy, this is a laboratory, not a tavern. If you're entertaining guests, take them somewhere else. I don't have room for all these people."
Lynn chuckled.
