Background / History

Ye Yunsheng lived in a valley with Zhao Li and underwent the awakening of a special constitution. Zhao Li helped her control the energy released by this awakening, while their bond deepened 17. When Zhao Li prepared to depart, she asked him to teach her cultivation; after reaching the threshold of Dou Master, she left a note and departed to pursue their shared ideals of fairness and justice rather than remain behind 19.

Nearly ten years later, Ye Yunsheng returned to the valley searching for Zhao Li. She found it preserved under Big Xiong's protection, learned that Zhao Li had gone to the Central Plains, and listened intently to Big Xiong's account of Zhao Li's life. She declined to keep Zhao Li's storybooks, deciding instead that Zhao Li would tell her those stories himself 42 43.

By the time of her return, Ye Yunsheng had become a Dou Venerate and later founded a country while negotiating with Great Qian 42 149. Her state ultimately became Great Li.
