Background / History

The Doctor retains fragmented knowledge from a past life and can instinctively reconstruct formulas and their applications, but suffers from severe amnesia. She believes that she deliberately left contingencies for herself before losing those memories. Kal'tsit later speculates that Theresa erased them to prevent the Doctor from being crushed by the guilt and pressure of her time as Babel's tactician. 49 181

Before her amnesia, the Doctor was a scholar who became Babel's battlefield commander under Theresa. Her increasingly ruthless methods earned her the title “Evil Spirit of Babel” among both allies and enemies. 181

Friston reveals that the Doctor's plan to save civilization began more than 13,000 years ago and included creating the Sea of Life for Mizuki. She had also cooperated with Trevor Friston in Columbia and visited the Preserver Facility with Theresa and Kal'tsit. 104 135
