Everyday Life in the Main Universe
Passing through the green spatial portal, the clamor of the Multiverse was instantly shut out.
The Marvel Main Universe, a high-rise apartment in Manhattan.
The night view outside the window was still bustling. The television in the living room was still showing the comedy that had been paused last night.
Jiang Li off his black trench coat and hung it on the hanger, then turned to look at Gwen beside him.
Gwen took off her hood, stretched languidly, and collapsed onto the soft sofa as if she had lost all her bones, letting out a comfortable sigh.
"Finally back." Gwen buried her face in a cushion. "There's no place like home."
"Go take a shower, I'll get you something to eat."
Jiang Li walked to the Fridge and just opened the Fridge door.
"Drop--"
The apartment's AI system suddenly emitted a notification sound; it was a subroutine of JARVIS that Jiang Li had accessed.
"Sir, Mr. Stark is approaching your balcony. Should we activate the defense system?"
Jiang Li raised an eyebrow and casually closed the Fridge door.
"Turn off the alarm and open the balcony glass door."
"Yes, sir."
Swish.
The large floor-to-ceiling glass doors in the living room slid open slowly to both sides.
With a familiar roar of engine thrusters, a suit of gold and red Iron Man Armor pierced the night sky and landed steadily on the spacious balcony of the apartment.
The nanotech mask on the armor receded like water, revealing Tony Stark's face with a small mustache and his signature nonchalant smile.
He was also carrying two paper bags with the fast food restaurant's logo printed on them.
"Thank goodness, you've finally decided to go back to Earth."
Tony made no attempt to be polite, striding into the living room and tossing two paper bags onto the coffee table, releasing a rich aroma of cheeseburgers.
"I heard on Friday that the energy level in your apartment fluctuated across dimensions, so I guessed it was because you were back from your honeymoon. Double cheeseburger, no pickles, and still hot."
Tony plopped down on the sofa and turned to look at Gwen, who had just lifted her head from the cushion.
"Good evening, Gwen. You've been on your 'homecoming' trip for quite a while now."
"Good evening, Mr. Stark," Gwen greeted with a smile, casually picking up a hamburger and taking a bite.
"You came all this way in the middle of the night wearing armor, you couldn't possibly be here to deliver takeout to me, could you?"
Jiang Li walked to the coffee table, sat down, picked up a glass of iced cola, took a sip, and looked at Tony with a half-smile.
"Pepper's been really strict with my diet lately," Tony shrugged, picking up the remaining hamburger and starting to eat. "I can only use the excuse of discussing world-saving matters with you to sneak out and grab some junk food. And by the way..."
Tony swallowed the food in his mouth, his expression becoming more serious. He took out a palm-sized silver metal cylinder from the storage compartment of his armor and placed it on the coffee table.
"I need to look after something."
"What is this?" Gwen asked curiously, leaning forward.
"I've recently been developing the Mark 50 armor. You know, traditional mechanical assembly is too cumbersome, so I'm trying to apply nanotechnology to the armor."
Tony pointed at the silver cylinder.
Blue light shone from the top of the cylinder, projecting an extremely complex holographic projection of a molecular structure.
"This is the nanoparticle memory I designed. But I'm stuck on a bottleneck."
Tony rubbed his temples, a rare hint of frustration in his eyes. "These nanoparticles are stable under normal conditions, but once I try to make them instantly cover my entire body and form a high-strength protective layer, the energy transfer between the particles is hindered. This causes a 0.5-second delay when the armor transforms."
"0.5 seconds. In a real battlefield, that's enough time for someone to kill me three times," Tony said seriously.
He consulted Dr. Banner and utilized Stark Industries' most advanced supercomputers, but due to the limitations of Earth's current materials science, this problem remained unsolved.
Then he thought of Jiang Li.
This monster can casually pull out alien black technology and even hack into the universe's underlying code.
Jiang Li stared at the holographic projection on the coffee table, without even pressing any buttons on the clock.
He simply leaned back on the sofa, his fingers tapping lightly twice on the coffee table. With his current knowledge base, fused with that of the Galvan System (the most intelligent race in the universe), understanding Earth's nanotechnology was like a college student looking at elementary school arithmetic problems.
"Your energy transfer matrix is too complicated," Jiang Li pointed out incisively.
Tony paused for a moment, then said, "Complex? I used the most advanced Hive transmission network!"
"It's advanced on Earth. But in the cosmic dimension, it's like taking off your pants to fart."
Jiang Li extended his finger, a faint green light emanating from its tip, and probed directly into the molecular structure of the holographic projection.
As Jiang Li flicked his finger, the arrangement of particles in the projection underwent a dramatic change. The originally dense conductive network was reduced by two-thirds, replaced by an extremely simple spiral structure.
"Abandon those fancy internet connections."
Jiang Li withdrew his hand, his tone calm, "Change the underlying arrangement of the nanoparticles to a closed-loop energy structure of a ' Möbius Ring.' No external conduction is needed; the particles themselves will generate a magnetic field resonance."
"This not only achieves zero-latency coverage, but also ensures that when the armor is attacked, the impact force is directly absorbed by the closed-loop structure and converted into repair energy."
"Take it back and run the simulation on Friday, then there won't be any problems."
Tony stared intently at the new structure on the table that Jiang Li had casually rewritten.
He quickly went through the process in his mind.
It's connected.
Tony grabbed the silver cylinder back into his hand and stuffed it into his armor as if it were a precious treasure.
"The patent for this closed-loop structure is yours. Once the Mark 50 is built, you can choose any shares of Stark Industries you want."
"No need. I don't need your money." Jiang Li waved his hand. "Don't disturb our movie."
"I'm leaving now, I'm leaving now."
With his biggest worry resolved, Tony was overjoyed. He put his armor back on and the thrusters glowed blue.
"That's right!"
Tony, who had just flown off the balcony, suddenly hovered in mid-air and looked back at Jiang Li.
"The Avengers are having an in-house barbecue party at the base this weekend. Thor brought some so-called 'god-level liquor' from Asgard, and Captain America and Natasha are there. You and Gwen, remember to be on time!"
"Same rule as always, no gift, no entry!"
After saying that, Tony laughed loudly and soared into the sky, disappearing into the Manhattan night sky like a shooting star.
Jiang Li looked at the empty night sky outside the balcony, shook his head and smiled.
The balcony door closed automatically.
"We'll have a barbecue this weekend!" Gwen leaned on Jiang Li's shoulder, her eyes sparkling.
"Yes."
Jiang Li picked up the remote control and pressed play. Lighthearted laughter came from the TV.
"After saving the world, of course I should enjoy life to the fullest."
