Background / History

Ye Hua transmigrated into Holy Soul Village, where his parents had already died and the villagers offered him no help. At twelve years old, he initially intended to attend a Junior Soul Master Academy and eventually earn a living by teaching. Tang San demanded both village work-study quotas, and Old Jack and the villagers pressured Ye Hua to surrender his place. The loss of his educational opportunity preceded the awakening of the Dark Salvation System, which offered Martial Soul evolution, a Soul Power breakthrough, and one hundred Gold Soul Coins. 1 2

After receiving a system mission to save the “darkened Douluo girls,” he evolved his Martial Soul in the forest and abandoned the village for Notting City. There, he obtained a replacement certificate for the Coiling Dragon Staff and enrolled at Notting Junior Soul Master Academy. 2

His initial objective was to contact Xiao Wu before Tang San could bind her to himself. Ye Hua defeated Xiao Wu in the Seventh Dormitory, later provided her with better living conditions, and began protecting her from Tang San and Yu Xiaogang. His bond with Xiao Wu eventually allowed him to benefit from her cultivation through the Bond Chain. 6 10 17 21

After Xiao Wu acknowledged him as her brother, the system equipped Ye Hua with the Villain Aura, disabling Tang San's Protagonist Halo in his presence. Ye Hua also befriended the work-study students, defended Wang Sheng from Tang San, and later supplied money so that they would no longer be controlled through their financial circumstances. 7 8 17

At Shrek Academy, Ye Hua became an instructor and established a harsh physical-training program. He subsequently gathered Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, Ning Rongrong, Wang Qiu'er, Meng Yiran, and others into the Long Night Team. 40 77

His connections with Soul Beasts expanded after he brought Wang Qiu'er from Star Dou Forest and fought Di Tian. Di Tian ultimately acknowledged Ye Hua's strength, allowed Wang Qiu'er to leave with him, and offered Spirit Bones to Ye Hua's companions. Ye Hua later used the Chalice of Life to restore the Icefire Dragon Kings' bodies, earning their loyalty and expanding his influence among Soul Beasts. 71 72 150

Ye Hua gained access to the Hundred Herbs Garden after completing the Icefire Yin Yang Well mission. He agreed to allow the Icefire Dragon Kings to recover there and brought Immortal Herb seeds into its medicinal fields. His later Heaven Dou fief became a base for the Long Night Alliance and Crystal Palace; after eliminating corrupt local figures, he delegated civil administration to twelve system-provided officials and defense to the alliance. 104 156 157

Spirit Hall later publicly accused Ye Hua of being a transformed Soul Beast during the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. Tie Xiong answered by revealing that Ye Hua was the hidden leader of the Long Night Alliance, turning the attempted exposure into a revelation of his political influence. 183 186

Following the tournament, Ye Hua developed the Soul Spirit System and Spirit Pagoda, allowing Soul Beasts to become contracted Soul Spirits rather than being hunted for rings. He used an illusionary trial within the Spirit Pagoda to expose Tang San's willingness to kill Soul Spirits and plunder spiritual materials, further earning Gu Yuena's approval of the system. 241 342 345

During the Far North crisis, Ye Hua answered the Ice Empress's distress signal, discovered spreading fleshy contamination, and used Blood Fiend to devour growths that ordinary freezing attacks could not permanently destroy. He rescued the Ice Bear Tribe and helped coordinate human and Soul Beast forces against the Abyss. After the Abyss was sealed, he appointed A-Tai to represent the Soul Beasts in dealings with human forces and helped Shui Bing'er and Oscar obtain Soul Spirits. 265 268 276 285

After obtaining the Golden Dragon King's bloodline, Ye Hua completed his eighth Soul Ring and became capable of Ultimate Douluo-level combat despite his lower cultivation realm. He later exposed Qian Renxue's identity, rescued her from the Fallen Angel's control, destroyed the inheritances of the Seven Original Sin Gods, and obtained several purified divine seats. 337 338 357 399

In Gengxin City, Ye Hua took over Lou Gao's Divine Blacksmith Iron Ring and used its Divine Fire to destroy attacking evil Soul Beasts and a giant eye. He and Skydream Iceworm directed the liberated souls toward the Spirit Pagoda. The Divine Fire chose him as its successor and restored the city's earthly fire before a distress message called him to Maze Grand Canyon. 379

In Gengxin City, Ye Hua condensed his Million-Year ninth Soul Ring and became a Titled Douluo. He subsequently continued expanding the Long Night Alliance's Soul Tool Academy, supporting affiliated clans and personally advancing Meng Yiran's Martial Soul and cultivation. 400 402 403

Ye Hua later received the Food God Codex and Cloudstring Harp as recovered national treasures from Prince Xue Xing. When the Häagen-Dazs Kingdom and Heaven Frost Duchy resisted surrendering their treasures, he personally departed with three thousand Soul Masters and his Titled Douluo followers rather than wait for Heaven Dou military assistance. On his maritime journey, Ye Hua subdued the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King and later used it as a mount. During the fourth trial, he and Bai Xiuxiu remained inside the whale's mouth until the trial ended. Upon emerging, he found her mother Xiao Bai severely injured and prepared a Hundred-Grass Pill to save her. 438 461 473

In Qiankun Asking Love Valley, Ye Hua openly acknowledged eighteen lovers and rejected a forced choice between Xiao Wu and Ning Rongrong. He broke the trial's barrier with his Golden Dragon King left-arm Spirit Bone and passed its first test. A subsequent trial brought him and Qian Renxue to the Sun-Moon Empire's capital, where he discovered that the emperor had branded him a criminal despite their agreement concerning Soul Tool blueprints. A purple eruption then transported them into an unfamiliar darkness. 462

Within the Abyss, Ye Hua fought its lords, sent his companions through an exit, and remained behind to hold off their pursuers. He killed the Demon Lord, devoured Abyss Energy to strengthen his Demiplane, and gravely wounded the Longhorn Beetle Emperor. Completing the Devour the Abyss: Plane Ascension mission rewarded him with Dragon God Armor. Although he shattered the Divine Official-level Spirit Emperor's right arm with his ninth Soul Skill, the Spirit Emperor regenerated it and maintained the superior overall position until Ye Hua equipped the armor. After reuniting with his companions, Ye Hua rewarded Wang Qiu'er's grasp of world laws with the Three-Eyed Golden Lion True Lord godhood. He absorbed the Evil Eye's Seven-Hundred-Thousand-Year ring into his Ice Dragon King Martial Soul and confronted Xu Liang's Divine Cannon emplacement. When Hu Liena informed him of Spirit Hall's continuing military advance, he returned by sea and then tore open space to reach Jialing Pass. There, his Martial Soul Avatar imposed a halt on both armies while he confronted Bibi Dong and urged them not to fight each other while facing two common enemies. 471 473 474

During later events on Sea God Island, Ye Hua encouraged confidence in Shui Yue'er while she faced a trial depicting a false version of him. He subsequently confronted the Sea God Phantom, using the eighth form of his Nine Heavens Staff Technique to smash its encircling rings. 498 500

Before leaving Sea God Island, Ye Hua asked Bo Saixi to keep the Saiya and Siren sisters along its coast and instructed Shui Yue'er, Wang Qiu'er, and Qian Renxue to pursue their respective tasks and divine inheritances. In Star Dou Forest, Di Tian informed him that Gu Yuena had recovered to the First-Level God level. She demonstrated that their Golden and Silver Dragon King powers could be shared or merged and proposed this as a way to confront the Half-God King threatening the Extreme North's seal. Ye Hua maintained that he had another route to godhood, but promised to accept her method if he failed to become a god within six months. He then asked her to gather the Ferocious Beasts so that he could give them gifts. 505

Ye Hua later publicly pardoned the Clear Sky Sect and bestowed the Goddess of Music's godhood on Tang Yuehua. That night, she confessed her desire to be with him, and they became romantically involved. By the following morning, Ye Hua explicitly referred to himself as having become a god and possessing a divine body, and invited Tang Yuehua to return with him to the Crystal Palace. 523 524

After Hu Liena concluded that Bibi Dong had died and declared herself the new Pope, Ye Hua warned that her succession could split Spirit Hall between her supporters and Qian Renxue's Angel Bloodline faction. He proposed locating Bibi Dong's soul with a close relative's blood in order to resurrect her. His attempt with two drops of Qian Renxue's blood produced no golden thread, leaving him questioning the expected blood connection rather than completing the resurrection. 532

Seeking another route into the Divine Realm, Ye Hua approached Gu Yuena because she had previously escaped from it. He revealed that he possessed two God King godhoods and demonstrated his increased power with Dragon King's Slash. They subsequently followed a golden thread of fortune to a water-aligned floating island near the Divine Realm Council. Despite Gu Yuena's warning about the nearby First-Level Gods, Ye Hua advanced to save lives and appeared before the Sea God, whose reaction was one of alarm. 533 534

Personality

Ye Hua is ambitious, calculating, and highly confident in his own power. He plans several moves ahead, whether arranging protection through Tie Xiong, manipulating tournament outcomes, establishing Soul Bone purchasing stations, or creating alliances among academies. 17 136 195

He is protective toward the people he considers his own, repeatedly intervening for Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, Wang Qiu'er, Dugu Yan, Hu Liena, and his team. He also shares rewards and Spirit Bones with his companions rather than keeping every resource for himself. 37 99 163 191 380

Ye Hua is exceptionally generous when investing in allies and subordinates. He distributes Immortal Herbs, Spirit Bones, Soul Tools, cultivation opportunities, and institutional support to strengthen the Long Night Alliance and its affiliated clans. 113 195 402 403

Despite his confidence and willingness to use money, he can acknowledge when he has treated a friend arrogantly. After Wang Sheng rejects payment offered in a manner he finds demeaning, Ye Hua apologizes and asks for his help as a friend. Toward enemies—especially Tang San, Yu Xiaogang, Dai Mubai, and Ma Hongjun—Ye Hua is vindictive and ruthless. He openly blacklists them from Yu Xiaogang’s instructional benefits and repeatedly humiliates or defeats those who threaten his allies. 40 77 232

Although often blunt about his motives, Ye Hua can be pragmatic and manipulative when confronting hostile forces. He openly acknowledges his attraction to multiple women rather than presenting himself as exclusively devoted to one partner. Ye Hua frequently describes himself as “reasonable” and opposed to violence while using overwhelming force to compel hostile rulers or armies to listen. His political pragmatism extends to Spirit Hall's succession. Even when Hu Liena asks him to serve as her adviser, he cautions that claiming the papal throne without accounting for Qian Renxue's hereditary standing could divide the organization. 532

His confidence can lead to theatrical behavior that alarms his companions. After escaping the Abyss, he recognizes that staging an apparent life-and-death farewell despite having the situation in hand caused them unnecessary distress, and he feels guilty upon seeing their tears. 471

He promises to accept Gu Yuena's bloodline-sharing method if his own route to godhood fails within six months.
