Organization

The Divine Might Corps is one of the three largest groups connected to the sect, alongside the Battle Group and Azure Robe Society. Its real core lies in the inner sect, while its outer-sect members recruit new blood and carry out the group’s day-to-day operations. More than half of the sect’s elite disciples belong to these three major organizations. 7

The Corps has a longstanding conflict with the Battle Group. Its members are feared by ordinary disciples for their overbearing conduct, including taking large numbers of desirable missions at once and intimidating those associated with its opponents. 7

Recruitment and Mission Hall Conflict

After Lin Xuan displays exceptional swordsmanship during the Bamboo Forest Guard examination, the Corps attempts to recruit him. Lin Xuan declines to commit, remaining wary of factions seeking his skills. 6

At the Mission Hall, the Corps takes the high-reward missions, including one Lin Xuan had chosen. Zhang Bin openly threatens him, establishing the Corps as an immediate obstacle to Lin Xuan’s cultivation and resource gathering. 7

Taihang Mountains Clash

A Corps disciple confronts Lin Xuan over Yin-Walking Grass, claiming that Lin Xuan has interfered with a Divine Might Corps mission. After losing their duel, the disciple fires a golden-arrow distress signal. 9

The responding group includes Zhang Bin, Brother Hai, and another Third-Stage Spirit Warrior. They surround Lin Xuan and attack with lethal intent outside the sect, where sect restrictions on killing do not apply. 10

Following the deaths of Zhang Bin and several Corps disciples, the organization discovers sword wounds on the bodies and begins mobilizing its inner- and outer-sect members to identify the killer. 13

Manhunt for Lin Xuan

The Corps traces the mountain incident back to Lin Xuan through the square-faced disciple’s testimony. Yan Kong orders an outer-sect-wide search and dispatches members to surround Lin Xuan’s residence. 20

When Lin Xuan returns, Corps disciples attempt to seize him before Yan Kong arrives with the Outer Sect Enforcement Team. Tang Yu prevents an arrest without evidence, while Elder Fang later disperses the confrontation. 21 22

Unable to kill Lin Xuan within the sect, Yan Kong proposes using legal sparring matches, restricting Lin Xuan’s missions, and making his life in the sect difficult. 22

Challenge Defeat

The Corps stations members outside Lin Xuan’s residence to force him into sanctioned challenges. Lin Xuan turns their plan against them by demanding thirty contribution points from each challenger. 23 24

At the Demon Pit, Jiang Yulong prepares to claim a mysterious Brown Stone, but Lin Xuan and Wine Lord redirect it and steal it. The Corps immediately pursues Lin Xuan under Jiang’s lead. 34 35

Jiang confronts Lin Xuan alongside Corps members. Although Lin Xuan cannot injure Jiang with Thirteen Swords as One, he escapes using a damaged Wind-Evasion Talisman and humiliates Jiang by falsely claiming to have given the stone to the Viper Mercenary Group. The Corps then shifts its search toward the mercenary group. 36

Inner Sect Selection Tournament

Corps members continue to mock Lin Xuan during the Thundercloud Mountain trial, dismissing his slow climb while he secretly refines the mountain’s lightning power. 46 47

During the tournament’s later rounds, Xue Huaqing is defeated by Lin Xuan’s single punch despite possessing peak Fifth-Level Meridian Condensation cultivation and mastered Thousand Blades Palm. Yan Kong reacts with anger, while Jiang Yulong begins reassessing Lin Xuan. 50
