Background and History
Pangu gravely wounded Luohou during the Creation Tribulation, forcing him to abandon his Primordial Chaos Demon God body and reincarnate in the Primordial Wilderness. Unlike other figures who received fragments of Demon God inheritances, Luohou retained essentially intact memories of his former life 53 132 257.
Luohou watched Yuan Tian’s prolonged fight with Po Hun, hoping to recruit powerful cultivators, but Po Hun died. He then tried to make Yuan Tian his subordinate and obtain the Twelfth-Grade World-Destroying Black Lotus. Yangliu Daoist intervened; Luohou withdrew without the lotus and warned Yuan Tian that their dispute was not over 49 51 53.
When they met again at the Hundred-Clan Ranking Tournament, Yuan Tian fled to Mount Buzhou and Luohou pursued him. The mountain restricted Luohou’s Divine Sense, preventing him from finding Yuan Tian. During his search, Luohou acquired the Heavenly Demon Pagoda and refined it in seclusion 74 75 76 135.
On descending Mount Buzhou, Luohou encountered twenty-four Qilin Clan elites attempting to seize his treasures. He killed them all, though his decision not to use his treasures immediately allowed them to injure him. Recognizing that individual strength was insufficient to destroy a major clan, he turned to building a faction. At Mount Mara in the west, he subdued experts, founded the Devil Cult, and received Merit from the Great Dao 137 139 140.
Appearance
Luohou appears as a young, handsome, unusually fair-skinned man rather than the savage figure Yuan Tian had imagined 50 51.
Personality
Luohou is proud, possessive of treasures, and quick to remember slights. His confidence caused an avoidable injury against the Qilin elites, but he is capable of retreating when outmatched, as he did before Yangliu Daoist 53 137 255.
His ambition is tied to cultivation: he seeks to expand the Devil Cult, gather Fortune, and attain Sagehood. Rather than openly challenge the three overlord clans together, he scouts for weaknesses and engineers conflict between them. He cultivates the Destruction and Killing Daos and regards turmoil in the Primordial Wilderness as beneficial to his path 255 256 262.
Abilities and Skills
Combat and demonic cultivation
Luohou’s strength places him among the foremost cultivators of the Primordial Wilderness 53 141 255.
- Kills twenty-four Qilin Clan elites—twelve Zenith Heaven Golden Immortals and twelve Zenith Heaven True Immortals—after their opening assault injures him 136 137.
- Cultivates the Destruction and Killing Daos, making widespread war advantageous to him 262.
- Can use an avatar possessing 60% of his strength; its self-destruction devastates the Dragon Clan’s Great Luo experts, but kills none of its Quasi-Sages 258 259.
Deception and strategy
- Feigns the strength of an Early-Stage Quasi-Sage while fighting the Dragon Clan, drawing them deeper into battle 258.
- Substitutes his true body with a Demon God Clone and detonates it, leaving the clans believing he has died 258 259.
- Leaves the Heavenly Demon Pagoda as bait, provoking a costly battle between the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans 259 260 261.
Primordial Chaos knowledge
- Retains memories that let him recognize Yangliu Daoist and identify the power of Divine Script 53 257.
- Cannot draw Divine Script himself despite having studied it 257.
Equipment and Treasures
- Heavenly Demon Pagoda — a Supreme-Grade Innate Spirit Treasure whose power in Luohou’s hands rivals an Innate Supreme Treasure. He uses it to suppress the Devil Cult’s Fortune and later leaves it as bait in the Eastern Sea 135 140 259.
- Slaying Immortals Set / Sword Formation of Execution of Immortals — treasures at his disposal; he uses the sword formation to suppress the Devil Cult’s Fortune 137 140.
Relationships
- Yuan Tian (“Star”) — enemy whom Luohou tries to recruit and rob; their feud continues after Yuan Tian escapes him at Mount Buzhou 51 53 74 255.
- Yangliu Daoist — fellow former Primordial Chaos Demon God whose superior strength prompts Luohou to abandon his immediate demands on Yuan Tian 53.
- Qilin Clan — enemies since its elites tried to seize his pagoda; Luohou kills twenty-four of them and later seeks further revenge 137 138 255.
- Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin Clans — rival powers whose mutual hostility Luohou deliberately deepens through the Eastern Sea treasure dispute 256 259 261.
