Background

Lily initially lived as Edward Connor’s younger sister, concealing that she was the demon Malkis. When Edward confronted her with a Pure Silver Cross, her demonic nature surfaced; she stated that she had not possessed Lily, but had descended in her own body and had only recently regained her power. Edward subdued her with Purification, accepted a system prompt to make her his pet, and bound her soul with a red collar. 3

Before arriving in the human world, Malkis was known in Hell as a cunning, treacherous demon who tortured souls. She had been Iblis’s neighbor for centuries, though Iblis later revealed that Malkis’s territory had been taken by an archduke. 138 139
