The Failure Brothers
"Huh? Potter, what are you talking about?"
Cho Chang Qiu was a bit confused. What was Harry trying to do? Was he going to confess his feelings to her? She really hoped Su Yu wouldn't see them. She should have known better than to come with him. What if Su Yu misunderstood? Should she just leave now? She was so conflicted...
"Would you... would you like to come with me to the Christmas Ball?" Harry was acting like a shy young girl, his fingers clenched tightly together. He didn't know why he was so nervous. "I mean, could you be my dance partner, Cho Chang?"
"Oh, so that's what happened..." Cho Chang breathed a sigh of relief. Luckily, it wasn't a confession, otherwise how awkward it would have been later, since she didn't even like Harry.
"Did you say yes?" Harry looked at Cho Chang and breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that she had accepted his invitation.
"I'm sorry, Potter, I'm really sorry, but I've decided to go with Su Yu." Cho Chang looked at Harry very frankly.
"Su Yu? But he already has several dance partners... you..." Harry felt these people must be crazy. Su Yu already had so many girls around him, so why were they still crowding around Su Yu? What's wrong with this world...?
"I'm so sorry, but it was my choice." Cho Chang apologized to Harry again before leaving.
"Oh, okay, it's alright..."
Harry stayed quietly in a deserted corner for a long time, not even eating dinner. His mind was filled with images of Su Yu happily dancing with Cho Chang. He felt like his heart had been on a rollercoaster all day, the kind that crashes and then lurches out and then gets crushed.
He envied Su Yu so much. Su Yu was strong, the top student in Slytherin, popular, and handsome. Su Yu was the real Champion. Sigh.
Ron was in the same boat. At dinner, Su Yu, who had sneaked too many snacks in class that day, was now staring at Kurama with wide eyes.
Their plates only contained a pitiful amount of boiled carrots and vegetables, which Daphne had specially prepared for them, fearing they had eaten too much oily food that day and wouldn't be hungry that evening.
"Kurama, you're the best, aren't you?"
"Of course! We're practically family, why are you being so polite?"
"Then can you eat it for me? I can't eat a single bite."
"I don't know you. Who are you? Why are you putting your two plates of food in front of me? Take them away right now, or I'll call the police and have you arrested!"
Kurama Maiden immediately turned her back on Su Yu, saying, "Who's my good friend? I don't even recognize this scoundrel in front of me!"
"That's enough, you two! Hurry up and eat!" Daphne tapped her plate, a rare occurrence for her. She knew that Su Yu disliked carrots the most, but Su Yu had been eating too much meat lately, so he needed to eat some vegetables!
Meanwhile, the students from Beauxbatons also arrived late, rushing to the hall for dinner.
Ron was sitting alone at the Gryffindor table, enjoying his meal, when he looked up and saw Phoebe gracefully approaching. His eyes nearly popped out of their sockets; Phoebe looked absolutely stunning today!
As if possessed, he slowly stood up and, trembling, walked over to Phoebe's side.
"You know what? It's such an honor to be my dance partner!" Ron himself didn't know what he was doing; he just felt like he was floating in the air. "I stopped wetting the bed when I was six, isn't that amazing?"
As Phoebe was admiring the food, she suddenly felt a giant sea cucumber appear beside her, swaying and spouting nonsense. She frowned slightly and glared at Ron.
Ron left with his face covered, because Phoebe's glare had made him shudder and his senses returned. He felt once again that he shouldn't live in the Hogwarts Academy, no, he shouldn't even exist on Earth. He was a complete clown!
That evening, in the Gryffindor Common Room, Harry and Ron drank bowls of milk, vowing to get themselves completely drunk. They were going to drink until they were stuffed; neither of them wanted to see the sun rise tomorrow.
But sometimes that's just how it is. No matter what you do, you have to face it, because the sun will still rise the next day, regardless of whether you want to or not.
Fortunately, during this time, young Malfoy followed the Headmaster's orders and kept provoking those Japanese devils, so he didn't have time to pay attention to Harry and Ron. Otherwise, their embarrassing situation would have been known throughout the whole school long ago.
"Thank God, Malfoy didn't pay attention to us today." The next evening at dinner, Ron clasped his hands together and prayed repeatedly in the Muggle way.
"What are you two doing?" Ginny suddenly asked. She had just finished eating and put down her plate, intending to go sit with the Slytherin, when she saw her brother and Harry acting like they were having a fit, gesturing wildly while eating.
"Shh, keep your voice down, Ginny." Ron quickly stopped Ginny's loud voice; he and Harry had been trying to avoid attracting attention for the past couple of days.
"We...we were praying, right, Harry?"
"Ah... yes, we're doing our pre-meal prayers..."
"When did you two become Catholicism? That's strange." Ginny felt that these two were acting strangely again, but she was used to it and didn't find them odd. She just felt that they should go to the Hospital Wing for treatment as soon as possible.
"Because they both confessed their feelings and were rejected!" George suddenly appeared in the middle of the group, excitedly saying.
"Oh, thank you so much, George. Now everyone knows we got rejected..."
"George! You and Fred, did you come here just to sabotage us? Fine, you did it, is that enough?" Ron almost roared in anger.
"Oh, our dear brother, no, we just wanted to borrow Pig (Ron's new pet owl) for a bit," Fred chimed in, trying to smooth things over. He didn't want to upset his brother so much.
"What do you need it for? It's been out delivering mail for the past couple of days." Ron suddenly paused, then replied instinctively.
"Because Fred wants to borrow it to the Christmas Ball," George mocked Fred.
"Are you an idiot? We're the ones who want to deliver a message! Fool!" Fred retorted to George.
"Huh? What's going on with you two? So sudden? Who are you sending a message to?" Ron pressed for details.
"Mind your own business, my dear brother, or I'll burn all your hair off!" Fred put his arm around Ron's shoulder, threatening his brother. "Oh, by the way, what about your dance partners? Have you chosen them yet?"
"We've all been rejected, what else can we do?"
