Chapter Summaries

Green prepared for his journey to the Ancient Wizard Ruins in Darknight Forest by refining a Black-Evil Potion as a breakthrough weapon. After a dangerous but carefully controlled process, he successfully produced an excellent-quality potion.

• Green inspected the laboratory upgrades he had made after becoming a Formal Wizard and prepared Black-Evil Water for the potion.
• Green added a red leaf to the Black-Evil Water and heated it over black Flame while resisting the attacking Black Smoke.
• Green drew the Black Smoke into the liquid with his Mental Power until the potion cooled and turned transparent.

Green discovered a hidden shaft beneath the ruin and explored an underground hall that appeared to belong to an Ancient Era Wizard academy. He chose to investigate the Library first, leaving the Herb Garden for later because he expected it to be more dangerous.

• Green had the Treants search the ruin and tap its floors until they found a disguised metal cover in the Dormitory District.
• Green removed the cover and sent a Little Treant down the dark shaft to explore.
• The Little Treant found a vast circular hall with passages labeled Herb Garden, Soul Breeding Grounds, Teaching Area, and Experimental Area.
• Green read the Little Treant's memories, sent the Treants down, and followed them into the underground hall using Levitation.
• Green chose the Library over the Herb Garden and proceeded toward it with the Little Treants.

Green reached the Library in the ruins, concealed his trail from pursuing Infant Monsters, and began examining its preserved books and scrolls. He left the chapter inside the Library, ready to record its contents.

• Green found Yaxi’s footprints and traces of Fire Element but decided not to search for him, then used a Potion to erase his and the Little Treants’ tracks.
• Infant Monsters searched the ruins for a missing presence but followed other footprints and passed the route Green had taken.
• Green reached the Library, sent images of its damaged runes to his true body, and had the Little Treants open the wooden door.

Yaxi emerged under a powerful curse, unleashed his Sorcery, and died in an explosion, while Green pretended to be dead and remained hidden beside the battle.

• Green turned himself into an armored skeleton and joined the horde advancing toward the ruins.
• The Skeleton Soldiers poured through an entrance and fought Infant Monsters, Wraiths, and Modified Humans defending it.
• Green realized the Skeleton Soldiers needed souls to grow stronger after they devoured a dead Wraith’s energy.
