Background / History

Xie Xie arrives at East Sea Academy alongside Tang Wulin for registration. He initially loafs around and boasts about his charm, but becomes alert when Yun Ying approaches and is prepared to step in when her spar with Tang Wulin turns dangerous 1.

During the entrance test, Xie Xie draws Yun Ying as his first opponent. Relying on his twin daggers and agility, he attempts to exhaust her through rapid attacks, but Yun Ying neutralizes him with basic spear techniques and defeats him before his Light Dragon Storm can take effect 2. Despite resenting her, he joins Tang Wulin and Yun Ying’s temporary three-person team for the group stage 3.

The trio wins its first group-stage match in under forty seconds. Xie Xie is frustrated when Yun Ying takes the lead and Tang Wulin finishes key targets, leaving him feeling like an accessory rather than the team’s vanguard 5.
