Background

Lu Chen awakened his martial soul at six, but his consciousness instead entered the One-Punch World. There, he became Zombieman, trained under Silver Fang Bang, and fought during the Monster Association crisis. After recklessly confronting the entity called God, his regenerative body was reduced to particles; he consumed part of God’s light before his consciousness returned to Douluo Continent. 1

He awakened nearly four years later to find Tang Ya caring for him after the Iron Blood Sect destroyed the Tang Sect and killed her parents. Tang Ya had maintained his life, vitality, and meridians through the Mysterious Heaven Technique throughout his coma. Iron Blood Sect Retribution
