Background / History

Long Aotian was born in Soul-Hunting Town to two Soul Master parents who worked as escorts and scouts near the Star Dou Forest. When he was five, both died after encountering a Ten-Thousand-Year Soul Beast while escorting a Soul Scholar seeking a Soul Ring. 45

He survived as an orphan by running errands, cleaning soul-beast hides, and occasionally stealing food. After awakening the Skin Martial Soul at six, he fought back against local thugs in an alley and caught the attention of Luo Wei, who brought him into the Body Sect. 45

Within the sect, Long Aotian became the foremost talent of his generation and was widely expected to inherit its leadership. Du Bushi's appointment of Lu Chen as Young Sect Master initially provoked his competitive instincts, but witnessing Lu Chen's full-body martial soul left him shocked and resigned rather than openly defiant. 23
