Background

The Body Sect is an ancient organization devoted to developing Body Martial Souls and physical strength to their limits. Its fortunes have risen and fallen over thousands of years, but Du Busi’s ambition has remained to make it the continent’s strongest force. Before Lu Chen’s arrival, the sect lacked a younger successor capable of inheriting Du Busi’s full-body Martial Soul legacy. 3

The sect traditionally maintained strict secrecy and admitted only Body Martial Soul users as core disciples. It also kept peripheral personnel and branch offices in major cities to manage operations and locate potential Body Martial Soul awakeners. 4

Lu Chen’s full-body “Body” Martial Soul—matching Du Busi’s but carrying an ultimate light attribute—caused the elders to recognize him as an unprecedented successor. Du Busi formally appointed him Young Sect Master and entrusted him with the sect’s two core manuals. 21 23

Headquarters

The original headquarters stands in the far northern mountains of the Heaven Soul Empire, within a rugged valley of stone buildings and medicinal-herb-rich air. Its main gate is carved from massive basalt, and its grounds originally contained almost no Soul Tools. 22 23

Early Body Sect training was visibly austere:

• Disciples lifted enormous stone weights, sparred bare-chested, trained beneath waterfalls, and endured extreme environmental pressure. 23

Body Martial Soul Development

The sect treats the body as both Martial Soul and foundation. Its disciples temper the specific body part represented by their Martial Soul through physical training, spiritual medicines, and specialized secret arts. 23 24

Body Martial Soul users may undergo a Second Awakening, an evolution process supported by rare medicines and the sect’s inherited methods. This can improve a Martial Soul and enhance Soul Ring quality, but requires major resources and preparation. 24 49

Body Secret Art

The Body Secret Art is a core inheritance containing:

• The Body Meditation Method.
• The complete process for a Body Martial Soul’s Second Awakening.

Innate Secret Art

The Innate Secret Art is the sect’s highest body-tempering technique and was traditionally restricted to the sect master. It repeatedly destroys and rebuilds the practitioner’s body under extreme pressure, aiming toward the Immaculate Golden Body. 24 25

Inner Sect

The Inner Sect remains centered on Body Martial Soul cultivation, traditional physical training, and the sect’s foundational inheritance. Its members include the elders, deacons, instructors, and Body Martial Soul disciples. 23 72

Outer Sect

Lu Chen established a reformed Outer Sect to recruit talented people without Body Martial Souls, overturning the sect’s long-standing admission restriction. It accepts people with Beast Martial Souls, Tool Martial Souls, support abilities, and Soul Engineer potential. 47 51 57

The Outer Sect is responsible for:

Contribution Hall

The Contribution Hall manages missions and sect resources for the rapidly expanding Outer Sect. Disciples earn Contribution Points through work such as escorting others to acquire Soul Rings, transporting materials, gathering herbs, and completing posted requests. 162

Available rewards include Soul Tools, techniques, medicinal resources, Soul Bones, and even Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Rings with attached Soul Bones. 162

Lu Chen later reformed the system to prevent wealthy nobles from purchasing rare resources outright:

• Contribution Points can only be earned through sect missions.
• Exchanging Contribution Points for gold converts them into Honor Points.
• Basic supplies may be purchased with either point type.

Recruitment and Education

The Body Sect publicly opened its Outer Sect admissions to applicants under fifteen, regardless of background, recommendations, Martial Soul, or ability to pay. This policy drew large numbers of commoner families and challenged elite institutions’ restrictive practices. 90

Lu Chen publicly declared that disciples are to be judged by character, perseverance, and conduct rather than birth or innate talent. He prohibited bullying based on family status or Martial Soul quality. 92

The sect later founded the Body Advanced Soul Master Academy outside Heaven Dou City. The academy belongs entirely to the Body Sect, accepts students from across society, and was created to represent the sect in the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. 141
