Chapters 101–125 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 101Many Forces Gather

After defeating Kumogakure’s forces, Enkō’s group formed a temporary alliance with Sunagakure and followed his trail through the desert. Enkō caught up with Baihe and faced her allies Shuiwu, Hozuki Gengetsu, and the concealed Mu, leaving a clash between the gathered Kage-level fighters imminent.

  • Kinkaku carried the badly wounded A and Ginkaku away, while A vowed to train and surpass Enkō.
  • Shamon agreed to Izuna’s terms for a temporary alliance, and the Third Kazekage affirmed Sunagakure’s commitment.
  • Izuna, Juri, and their new allies followed Enkō’s markers through the desert to catch up with him.
  • Baihe used Mist Release to flee with the stolen scroll, but Enkō sensed her in Sage Mode and pursued her with lightning armor.
  • Baihe confronted Enkō, then Shuiwu and Hozuki Gengetsu emerged from an ambush; Enkō revealed that Mu was concealed above them.

Ch. 102A Surprise for Konoha

Enkō used the standoff between Mu and Hozuki Gengetsu to recognize that other teams were moving against their rivals. After Izuna and the others arrived, Enkō allied with Shamon and proposed setting a trap for Konoha.

  • Hozuki Gengetsu proposed teaming up with Enkō, but Enkō revealed that Mist Hidden Village had the auxiliary scroll numbered '1.'
  • Hozuki Gengetsu sent Baihe away with the scroll while Shuiwu and he stayed behind, and Enkō pointed out that Mu was stalling them for his teammates.
  • Enkō warned that fighting would leave them vulnerable to the missing team's attack, and an explosion sounded in the distance.
  • Hozuki Gengetsu and Shuiwu rushed toward the disturbance while Mu concealed himself, leaving Enkō to wait for his teammates.
  • Izuna and the others arrived, and Enkō proposed that Sand Hidden Village ally with them to ambush Konoha.

Ch. 103Premonition

Baihe lost Mist Hidden Village’s scrolls to Tobirama and his Konoha team after Poison Bee and Zhen pursued her across the desert. Shimaizumi then gave Gengetsu and Mu scrolls that set Mist and Iwagakure against each other, while he worried that something could still go wrong for Konoha.

  • Poison Bee tracked Baihe with bees as Zhen bombarded her with explosive stones, forcing her to abandon four scrolls.
  • Tobirama and Kurama Qiye seized the scrolls, and Shimaizumi stayed behind to hold off Poison Bee’s insects while the others fled.
  • Tobirama blasted Zhen away with a Water Shockwave, then Baihe apologized to Gengetsu for losing Mist’s scrolls.
  • Shimaizumi gave Gengetsu and Mu two scrolls, prompting them to recognize that Konoha had maneuvered Mist and Iwagakure into fighting over the remaining sets.
  • Gengetsu and Mu began battling as Shimaizumi watched and wondered why he had a bad feeling despite Konoha’s apparent advantage.

Ch. 104Kurama Qiye

The Second Raikage accepted the risk of becoming a Jinchuriki so he could grow stronger, while Tobirama Senju and Kurama Qiye were intercepted in the desert. • Kurama Qiye manifested Senju Hashirama before Izuna, Enkō, and Shamon.

Ch. 105Puppet Art

Enkō, Izuna, and Shamon fought a Hashirama illusion inside Kurama Qiye’s spatial genjutsu, with Shamon defeating it using his puppets. Enkō then used Kanata to teleport the three away, leaving Kurama Qiye to wonder what Tobirama would make of their escape.

  • Shamon asked how strong the Hashirama illusion was, and Enkō estimated it had no more than half of Hashirama’s original strength.
  • Hashirama attacked with Wood Release, and Shamon countered with his five puppets and their elemental techniques.
  • Hashirama destroyed Shamon’s water puppet and trapped him with a Wood Dragon, but Shamon’s coordinated attacks dispersed the illusion.
  • Kurama Qiye told the three that Tobirama was nearly at the hand-in point and claimed they had lost.

  • Reto revealed Sunagakure's interest in cooperating with the Land of Flame, and Madara deduced that he wanted help attacking the Land of Fire.
  • Reto proposed an alliance against Konoha, while Enkō and Madara agreed only that their goals were aligned and secured a favorable iron ore deal.
  • Reto personally escorted Enkō's group to the gates, where Enkō advised him to prepare for a rainy day.
  • After leaving Sunagakure, Enkō told Izuna that their agreement did not mean they would attack Konoha and that they would follow their own plan.
  • Izuna said Juri was watching their prey, and Enkō declared that the hunt would begin.

  • Hozuki Gengetsu and the Kirigakure ninja surrounded Enkō on the deck as Byakuren demanded an explanation.
  • Enkō declared that he intended to take Shuiwu to Flame Hidden Village over a private grudge, and Byakuren attacked him with Ice Pillar Swallow.
  • Enkō used Changing Places to summon a tall figure, who raised a white war fan against Byakuren’s incoming ice spikes.

Ch. 112Ice and Blood

After Uchiha Madara’s attack sank the ship, Byakuren and Hozuki Gengetsu rescued the surviving Kirigakure forces and learned that Madara’s group wanted Shuiwu. • Byakuren attacked Enkō, but Madara struck him through an ice shield and sent him crashing into the sea.
  • Byakuren emerged again and froze the sea for thousands of miles, and Madara urged him to fight.

Ch. 114At the End of the Road

Enkō fought Shuiwu across the frozen sea and gradually overwhelmed the Mizukage, who unleashed a powerful Blood Release technique before fleeing toward the coast. Shuiwu spotted a Kirigakure fleet and believed he had been saved as Enkō pursued him.

  • Enkō caught up with Shuiwu over the frozen sea, and the two crashed through the ice into the water.
  • Shuiwu used blood armor to block Enkō’s dōjutsu and attacked with weapons formed from blood, while Enkō countered with Susanoo.

  • Madara’s Mangekyō Sharingan appeared in Byakuren’s spiritual space, and Madara struck him in the chest.
  • Madara grabbed Byakuren’s ankle, dragged him back, and smashed him into the water.

Ch. 116Collusion

Madara defeated Byakuren and spared the Kirigakure guards, then stopped Izuna from continuing his fight with Hozuki Gengetsu so they could pursue their mission. Enkō cornered Shuiwu aboard a ship, where Shuiwu discovered Uchiha Chiri and the Funato Clan waiting alongside the outsiders.

  • Enkō advised Tenzui to conquer smaller island nations and unite their forces before confronting Kirigakure, beginning with the Whirlpool Country.
  • Enkō promised to keep Konoha occupied when the Funato Clan moved against the Whirlpool Country, and Tenzui agreed to consider the plan.
  • Madara and Izuna arrived, and they returned to the Flame Hidden Village with Enkō and the captured Shuiwu as Tenzui suspected another war was approaching.

Ch. 118Assimilation

Hashirama and Tobirama analyzed why the Uchiha had captured Shuiwu and worried about the consequences for peace. In the Flame Hidden Village, Enkō began an experiment involving Shuiwu’s Blood Release and two Mangekyō Sharingan.

  • An intelligence operative told Hashirama that the Uchiha had ambushed Kirigakure’s delegation, taken Shuiwu, and badly injured Mizukage Byakuren.
  • Tobirama reasoned that the Uchiha might use Shuiwu’s Blood Release to alter or purify bloodlines and evolve the Sharingan.
  • Hashirama worried that the Uchiha’s actions could break the peace, while Tobirama said Konoha should prepare for war and then left to research a ninjutsu.
  • Madara gave Enkō two Mangekyō Sharingan belonging to Uchiha Shan as Izuna voiced concern about the experiment.
  • Enkō activated Kagami no Mitama and directed his left eye toward the bound Shuiwu.

Ch. 119Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, Open!

  • Enkō spoke with the recovered little Fang in his mental space, then said the time had come to experience the shinobi world.
  • Enkō removed his bandages and opened his newly evolved Eternal Eyes.

Ch. 120Stone Tablet

Enkō discovered that someone had altered the Uchiha Clan’s stone tablet with Yin–Yang Release and chose to destroy it rather than leave the false teachings in place. After meeting Uchiha Juri on his way to the hospital, he learned that Tian Yuan had developed the medical ninjutsu he had requested.

  • Enkō read the altered stone tablet with his Mangekyō Sharingan and realized its text had been changed using Yin–Yang Release.
  • Mad Fang explained that sage art could destroy the tablet but could not restore its original contents, so Enkō chose to destroy it.
  • Enkō met Uchiha Juri, apologized that her Mangekyō side effects remained unresolved, and suggested she become the Second Flame Shadow after the war.
  • Uchiha Juri agreed to consider the position and urged Enkō to focus on the coming war as they parted at the road fork.
  • Enkō arrived at the hospital, where Tian Yuan excitedly announced that he had developed the medical ninjutsu Enkō had mentioned.

Ch. 121Medical Ninjutsu

Tian Yuan demonstrated the Medicine Clan’s newly developed Mystical Palm Technique, and Enkō ordered him to train a medical force quickly. Tian Yuan also revealed an improved Hero’s Water, while Enkō considered how it might empower ordinary people; the chapter ended with Shentai presenting the completed ultimate weapon despite his exhaustion.

  • Tian Yuan brought Enkō to the ninja hospital and demonstrated the Mystical Palm Technique by healing a snow rabbit’s wound.
  • Enkō praised the Medicine Clan’s breakthrough and ordered Tian Yuan to train at least 50 medical ninjas within a month.
  • Tian Yuan explained that improved Hero’s Water burned chakra to grant temporary explosive strength and healing, and could equip an army of a thousand.
  • Enkō wondered what the improved Hero’s Water would do to an ordinary person and told Tian Yuan to seek financial support for medical ninjas as needed.
  • Enkō visited the Flame Hidden Armory, where Shentai revealed that the ultimate weapon had been built after five days without sleep.

Ch. 122Ultimate Weapon

Enkō inspected newly developed weapons and planned to obtain a powerful chakra source for the Steel Behemoth. After meeting Madara and Izuna, he proposed traveling to the Country of Roran to borrow chakra.

  • Shentai showed Enkō 5,000 sets of improved armor and katanas, along with 500 repeating crossbows.
  • Enkō examined the Steel Behemoth and learned it needed seven Chunin or two Jonin to power a single attack, leaving its operators nearly drained.
  • Enkō told Shentai he would find a vast chakra source without side effects and ordered him to build at least four Steel Behemoths once Konoha's resources arrived.
  • Enkō urged Shentai to rest, then sensed Madara and Izuna and vanished to meet them.
  • Izuna suggested retrieving their spoils from Konoha, but Madara warned him not to reveal their plans before preparations were complete.
  • Enkō told Madara and Izuna they would visit Konoha and then travel to the Country of Roran to borrow chakra.

Ch. 123Intelligence

Enkō secretly infiltrated Konoha’s Intelligence Department while Kakuzu negotiated supplies with Toka Senju, and he discovered an intriguing note in an old intelligence scroll. After leaving Konoha with Kakuzu, Enkō prepared to travel to the Land of Wind to mine gold dust.

  • Kakuzu pressured Toka Senju into agreeing to trade rare metals and medicinal herbs for the Flame Hidden Village, while Enkō silently observed.
  • Enkō used a genjutsu planted in Sarutobi Hiruzen to make him open the barrier to Konoha’s Intelligence Department.

Ch. 124Country of Roran

Enkō traveled to the Country of Roran to acquire the Dragon Vein, while Kakuzu stayed behind to mine gold with Gold-Seeking Bees. Enkō broke through Roran’s defenses and faced a burly guard who barred his way.

  • Kakuzu summoned Gold-Seeking Bees to mine four placer gold deposits, and Enkō gave him a Flying Thunder God kunai before leaving for Roran.
  • Enkō approached Roran’s city gate, ignored the soldiers’ warning, and withstood their volley of arrows using Susanoo Skeleton.
  • Enkō smashed the city gate and entered the city as the frightened guards scattered.
  • The Queen of Roran and an elder learned that a ninja had invaded and feared he had come for the Dragon Vein.
  • A burly armored man confronted Enkō inside the city and warned him that trespassers would die, but Enkō told him to scram.

Ch. 125Dragon Vein Chakra

Enkō defeated Iwanami Yuto and seized several scrolls of Dragon Vein Chakra before its eruption trapped him in a ruined, deserted version of Roran. There he encountered a fleeing Mangekyō Sharingan user and then came face-to-face with Uchiha Obito.

  • Iwanami Yuto challenged Enkō to defend Roran, but Enkō struck him down with a single chakra-infused palm.
  • Enkō reached the altar and drained Dragon Vein Chakra into six storage scrolls while an old man warned him to stop.
  • Enkō killed the old man, triggering the Dragon Vein to erupt and seal space, which transported Enkō into a ruined, deserted Roran.
  • Enkō realized he was isolated from Mad Fang and his Flying Thunder God marks, then headed toward lingering Dragon Vein Chakra in the southeast.
  • A young man with a Mangekyō Sharingan fled past Enkō, who tried to seize him before a boy pursuing the stranger arrived.
  • Enkō recognized the boy as Uchiha Obito, while the Mangekyō user escaped into the city.
