Tobirama Senju's expression darkened. The forbidden technique he had developed had actually failed, leaving him somewhat at a loss. If he wanted to get close enough to attack again, the difficulty would be far from ordinary.

He had simply prepared too few Explosive Tags. The forbidden Mutually Multiplying Explosive Tags Technique had failed to blow the giant snake to death in one go.

Uchiha Jobu spotted Tobirama Senju's position and spoke into Garaga's ear. He immediately felt the enormous creature beneath his feet angrily slither toward him.

Yet with his hard scales, Garaga feared no attack at all. Neither ninja tools nor ninjutsu could break through his scaled defense.

"Damn! It's Uchiha Jobu!"

Tobirama Senju's face sank as he turned and tried to flee. He had no intention of fighting whatsoever, only wanting to evade Garaga's furious strike.

Boom!

The earth shook!

Dust billowed from the ground!

When they looked closely, a massive crater had appeared before them.

Garaga had created it with a single headbutt, without using any other power.

Unlike other summoned beasts, Garaga could use senjutsu and spit out attacks that petrified his enemies.

Uchiha Jobu shook his head regretfully. "What a pity. He got away."

Garaga snarled, "Hmph! He can't escape. He's still within my sensory range."

Uchiha Jobu's eyes flickered slightly. He was secretly surprised, but it also made perfect sense. In the Naruto story, Naruto Uzumaki and Jiraiya, both of whom had learned Sage Mode, possessed exceptionally strong sensory abilities.

Garaga was a giant snake from Ryūchi Cave who could use senjutsu, so it was perfectly normal for him to possess sensory abilities.

"Wood Release! Wood-Style: Wood Dragon Technique!"

Seeing his younger brother about to be attacked by a massive python, Senju Hashirama immediately abandoned his old friend, Uchiha Madara. Clapping his hands together, he used Wood Release to create a ferocious-looking long dragon that rammed sideways into Garaga.

"Wood Release?!"

Uchiha Jobu's expression darkened. What he hated most were people like Senju Hashirama, constantly preaching peace and mutual understanding. The saintly glow around him was particularly disgusting, and now he had even jumped out to interfere.

"This technique is troublesome! Kid, do you have any way to smash that Wood Dragon?"

Garaga found that the Wood Dragon attacking him was unexpectedly tough. It was not something that could be easily snapped apart as he had imagined.

Uchiha Jobu shook his head. He knew exactly what level his own strength was at. Compared to someone like Senju Hashirama, the son of the Six Paths Family, the gap was enormous.

Fortunately, Uchiha Madara suddenly charged in. His crimson eyes burned with rage. He could not even be bothered to use ninjutsu, directly activating Susanoo and powerfully cutting the Wood Dragon apart.

Uchiha Madara roared, "Hashirama! Your opponent is me!"

Only then did Senju Hashirama turn back. He stared seriously at his enraged opponent, his eyes filled with determination. "I will protect my younger brother. I will never allow anyone to harm Tobirama!"

"Hahahaha! Interesting, Hashirama. Truly interesting!"

"You told me to trust you, that only by trusting each other could we let go of hatred and truly achieve mutual understanding."

Because I am also an older brother. I will stand up for my younger brother, and I will trample the Senju Clan beneath my feet, turning them into slaves."

Anger flashed across Senju Hashirama's face. He sharply clapped his hands together and shouted, "Then come! As you said, let us truly fight to the death! Let our lives decide who is right!"

"I will protect my clan! I will protect my younger brother!"

"But at the same time, I truly long for peace to come!"

"Believe in me, Madara!"

Uchiha Madara sneered disdainfully. "Naive fool! There cannot be anyone in this world as naive as you. Let me kill you and put an end to that naivety!"

Second-Stage Susanoo was countless times stronger than its basic form. A gigantic chakra-forged sword swept horizontally, splitting apart the Wood Dragon charging at it. The descending blade did not slow in the slightest as it continued slashing toward where Senju Hashirama stood.

"Wood Release! Wood-Style: Wood Human Technique!!"

Apparently feeling that the Wood Dragon alone could not possibly contend with the frenzied Uchiha Madara, Senju Hashirama understood just how astonishing Uchiha Madara's potential was. After all, they had trained against each other since childhood.

And with that strange, terrifying pair of Mangekyō Sharingan, if Senju Hashirama did not use all his strength, he suspected he would be chopped into shattered, bloody pieces by that enormous blade.

The Wood Golem dropped to one knee and violently pressed its hands together before it, displaying overwhelming and unmatched power as it steadily caught the descending sword.

The madness on Uchiha Madara's face deepened, and the light in his eyes grew increasingly brilliant. He desperately squeezed the ocular power from his Mangekyō Sharingan, seeking to strengthen Susanoo even further.

Senju Hashirama used the Wood-Style: Wood Human Technique to block Uchiha Madara's slash in Second-Stage Susanoo. While sensing Uchiha Madara's formidable strength, he also gained a deeper understanding of Wood Release.
