Tang Wulin trained and fought alongside Su Yu, Gu Yue, and Xie Xie as part of Eastsea Academy’s Class Zero. From the beginning, he repeatedly acted as the group’s physical shield, protecting Xie Xie from Guang Long and providing Thousand Refinement inner armor to every member before their final examination. 7 46

He carries the sealed essence of the Golden Dragon King. Though the seal is dangerous and periodically forces him to acquire spiritual items for breakthroughs, he refuses Su Yu’s offer to remove it completely. Tang Wulin believes its power and danger are both part of the price he must pay to become strong enough to find his missing parents and younger sister, Na’er. 91 109

Arceus later entered his Spirit Sea and extracted only a small amount of Golden Dragon King Essence. The attempt caused the Golden Dragon King’s rage to create an additional self-seal, while Arceus repaired the damaged seal and left Faith Power to strengthen Tang Wulin’s body. 127

Tang Wulin is selected as one of Class Five’s representatives for the Class Promotion Tournament. During early team training, he serves as a front-line defender while learning that individual strength cannot replace coordination. 5

He fights Guang Long alongside Xie Xie, Gu Yue, Su Yu, and Snorlax. Though initially overpowered by Guang Long’s dragon Martial Soul and two Soul Rings, Tang Wulin shields Xie Xie and later helps restrain Guang Long for Snorlax’s Counter. 7

Rampaging Spirit Ascension Platform

Before the final examination, Tang Wulin provides every Class Zero member with Thousand Refinement inner armor. His generosity is especially meaningful because the group is about to face dangerous Soul Beasts. 46

Shrek Academy Entrance Examination

Tang Wulin becomes the main damage dealer against the Earth Demon Rhinoceros. After his teammates restrain, disrupt, and expose the beast, he uses repeated Golden Dragon Claws to destroy its horn and crush its chest armor. 93
