At eighteen, Qian Renxue brought him to the Pope’s Palace, where both she and Bibi Dong reacted as though they remembered him from another life. Ye Yuan himself was confused by their familiarity, the altered timeline, and their insistence on protecting him. 3

Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue attempted to nourish his blocked meridians with Rakshasa and holy spirit power. The attempt triggered his delayed awakening: the broken bell became the Primordial Chaos Bell, while a holy longsword manifested as his second martial soul. His awakening shook Spirit City, caused spirit masters’ cultivation bottlenecks to stir, and announced his Rank 30 innate soul power. 4

Ye Yuan later expanded the empire’s influence to Sea God Island. He is also calculating and ruthless toward enemies. His treatment of A Yin and Xiao Wu reveals a crueler side. He deliberately attacks their faith in Tang San, exploits their attachments to loved ones, and treats strategic assets—including soul beasts—as tools. 46 49 50

As the Spirit Hall Empire’s de facto sovereign, Ye Yuan uses terror and spectacle as instruments of rule.
