Qian Daoliu's Reprisals

Dai and Zhu Zhuqing flee with Tang San to Sea God Island after Tang San kills Qian Renxue. Qian Daoliu subsequently attacks Star Luo City, declaring that the Dai and Zhu families will pay in their place. 38 39

While Dai is absent, Qian Daoliu kills the Star Luo Emperor and Empress after effortlessly breaking their Netherworld White Tiger fusion. 40 Dai later learns that the Dai and Zhu families have been exterminated, responding with grief and a vow to tear Qian Daoliu apart. 47

Sea God Island

Dai declares that the loss of his family and homeland has left revenge as his sole remaining purpose. He joins Oscar and the other Shrek members in pledging to become gods and destroy the Martial Soul Empire. 48

When Yu Xiaogang concludes that Sea God Island cannot win, Dai supports the decision to escape. Star Luo Resistance

After the Martial Soul Empire conquers Tiandou, Dai becomes the surviving symbol around which Star Luo loyalists might rally. He and Zhu Zhuqing ask Yu Xiaogang to guide their resistance, promising him the position of Imperial Tutor if they reclaim the empire. 84

Dai's recruitment campaign yields only about 500,000 soldiers, most of them ordinary troops rather than Soul Masters. Many nobles, clans, and commanders reject his claim or choose independent rule after Star Luo City's destruction. 85
