Uvogin wore a look of utter disbelief. "We couldn't come to an agreement in the first place. You took the person Chrollo had his eye on and seized the house he'd picked out. How could we possibly agree?"
That pretty boy was one thing—they did not care that much about him—but this house was different. They had been eyeing it for a long time, or they would not have come knocking so quickly.
They had suffered a loss in this house before, which was why they had not charged straight in. Even after Rasa left, they had not made a move, fearing the slightest possibility of trouble.
They had not expected Luo Ye to arrive and take the house so easily, then calmly start cooking inside. Uvogin could not swallow that, so he went up and kicked the door.
But he had only kicked the door. He had not gone inside. These people had come out on their own.
Nobunaga stood to one side with his sword in his arms, but his mouth never stopped. "Taking this house must have cost you quite a bit of effort, right? I suggest you surrender early and spare yourselves some injuries!"
His words were fierce, but the sword in his arms—made by tying a blade and a wooden hilt together with strips of cloth—gave off a rather comical air. He looked like a child borrowing a tiger's might to scare others.
The scene looked ridiculous, but Luo Ye was seething inside.
Understanding what Nobunaga meant, Luo Ye was so angry he laughed. "Since you know we put in so much effort, you still expect us to hand it over? Why? Because your face is big?"
You were nowhere to be seen when the trees were being planted, but you jumped out when it was time to pick peaches. What a nice dream!
"My face is long, not big." Nobunaga gave him a baffled look. "Do you mean that if my face were big, I could just take it?"
Luo Ye: "..." Cultural differences. People here did not understand Earth's popular jokes. No, more accurately, Nobunaga simply did not have the brains for it.
If it had been Chrollo, he might have understood. Unfortunately, Nobunaga was the one standing here, unable to grasp the meaning behind his words.
"Whether your face is long or big, Yezi's things are not yours to covet!" With that, Feitan vanished from where he stood, turning into an afterimage as he pounced on Nobunaga.
By Meteor City's rules, whoever seized something owned it. Since Yezi had already gotten this house, Feitan would chop off every hand that dared reach for it!
With a clang, just as Feitan's dagger reached Nobunaga's neck, Nobunaga raised the sword in his arms at the last possible instant, narrowly blocking Feitan's throat-slitting strike.
Feeling the icy touch against his neck, Nobunaga nearly broke out in a cold sweat. "Tch, Uvogin, what are you standing around for? Hurry up and attack!"
Did he have to wait until this little runt cut his throat before Uvogin avenged him?
Then again, this little runt was far too fast, wasn't he? If he had not reflexively raised his sword, he probably would not have been able to block that attack at all.
"Coming!" Uvogin gathered Nen in his hand and clenched his fist, launching himself at Feitan like a cannonball.
Before he even arrived, the sound of air tearing apart had already reached them. An attack of that strength could not be met head-on. Feitan's eyes narrowed as he made his decision. Just as he was about to retreat, Nobunaga blocked his path.
Nobunaga gripped his dagger and turned with a savage grin. "Since you're here, don't even think about leaving! Leave your life behind!"
Compared to Luo Ye, who had no Nen ability at all, this little runt posed a far greater threat to them. So they had to kill him first!
Forced to stay by Nobunaga, Feitan was in a terrible mood. At that moment, Uvogin's attack was already almost upon him.
