Ryugu Palace stood at the highest point on Fish-Man Island. However, a large part of the palace was submerged in seawater. Half of Fish-Man Island was underwater as well, with the other half exposed to the air. Most of that air came from the Sunlight Tree, and Fish-Man Island had always maintained a delicate balance.

With coral bubbles, they could go anywhere they wanted. Even diving was possible—they only had to enter a bubble and walk through the water.

The scenery on Fish-Man Island was truly beautiful. Before even reaching Ryugu Palace, Rogge and the others had already been captivated by many different sights and sampled quite a bit of delicious food.

Most of the people on Fish-Man Island were kind and longed for peace. Unfortunately, their location was far too important. The island was a vital transit point between the first and second halves of the Grand Line. Anyone wishing to reach the latter half or return to the former had to pass through Fish-Man Island. Most people chose to stop there, though it was also possible to pass through without staying.
