Jerry held Rogge up as Ares spoke beside him.

"Isn't this just like Alabasta?" Jelly said.

"Alabasta?" Enel asked, puzzled.

Simon said, "When we ran into Crocodile, another Shichibukai, in Alabasta, the captain fought him just like this. They both went down in the end. This time, though, Rogge stayed on his feet."

"Let's go." Seeing the Big Mom Pirates approaching, Rogge gritted his teeth and called out to Enel and the others.

Jerry carried Rogge on his back, while Jelly grew vines to lift them up.

"I never expected it to end like this. Charlotte Linlin came out the winner," Gavin said, looking toward Jade City from the Ark.

"No, we didn't come away empty-handed. I've memorized every character on the Poneglyph," Ham said with a nod.

"That's enough, then. Let's go. The Divine Tree wasn't our goal anyway. Rogge fought Katakuri, but we're still not strong enough to take on one of the Four Emperors," Cook said.

"I'm so sleepy," Rogge mumbled, then fell asleep.

Whatever happened next in Jade City had nothing to do with them. The Big Mom Pirates were there, and so was an Admiral. Rogge and Katakuri had fought with everything they had for nearly two hours, leaving little time to escape.

Akainu had also held off Charlotte Linlin. Once Katakuri fell, Ham and the others had no intention of staying. The Divine Tree was tempting, but they weren't short of money. They gathered some scattered gems, returned to the surface, and left aboard the Ark.

What they hadn't expected was for Jade City to sink just as they boarded the Ark.
