The Difference in the Plot

Vacation Island.

The new Shichibukai, Rogge, had appeared here, and the island's person in charge had personally come out to receive him. Vacation Island wasn't a World Government-affiliated country. Even though it paid protection fees to the World Government, it wasn't covered by their protection. It was merely a commercial island jointly established by a group of merchants.

If Rogge caused trouble, who could they appeal to? The Shichibukai possessed the legal right to plunder. Even if Rogge attacked them, the Marines couldn't possibly send troops to deal with him.

They could only grit their teeth and come out to receive Rogge, treating him well while indirectly hinting that the resort's owners had powerful connections, hoping Rogge wouldn't cause trouble.

To curry favor with Rogge, they decided to waive all the Asura Pirates' expenses on the island.

Rogge hadn't expected the identity of a Shichibukai to be so useful. He wouldn't be foolish enough to pay for free things. Free entertainment was even more enjoyable.

There were quite a lot of activities on the island. After all, it was specifically meant for vacations. Five islands made up the resort, and the sea level wasn't very high. White beaches could be seen everywhere. The five islands had once been connected, much like Long Ring Long Land, where Luffy and the others encountered Aokiji.

By the way, after Luffy and the others came down from Sky Island, not many people who read the manga should know what happened. The manga and anime were actually different. In the anime, Luffy and the others fell into the Marines' G-8 Branch, the Navarone Fortress where Jonathan was stationed. Few people probably knew that this was anime-original content, belonging to the V version.

In the manga, Luffy and the others reached Long Ring Long Land directly
