Spirit-Ascension Shamanic Formation

The shamanic formation Huo Hai was about to create was one he had never used before, one that had appeared only in legends. That was right: this was a shamanic formation, not a spirit formation.

Spirit formations were a method of arranging formations unique to the Heavenly Spirit Continent. They used spiritual power, rather than any other kind of energy. Shamanic formations were different, however. They used not spiritual power, but something Huo Hai himself called shamanic power.

This was the conclusion Huo Hai had reached after studying the strange power he used in the Insect Refining Formation. So-called shamanic power was a kind of mutated spiritual power. It was much like the stellar spiritual power within him, a special form of spiritual power that had mutated after merging with the unique energy emitted by the stars in the sky. In fact, many people in this world used mutated spiritual power.

Otherwise, Huo Hai would never have had so much experience to draw on in his research into shamanic power. Spiritual power merged with the special energy produced when he chanted the Primordial Shamanic Incantation, and even incorporated the mysterious power contained in his blood.

What ultimately formed was this shamanic power. Huo Hai did not know whether shamanism had truly existed in ancient times, nor whether his shamanic power could be used to perform it. But this power had a tremendous effect on insects.

In his previous life, Huo Hai had learned a great deal about gu insects. In reality, however, even gu insects were like something out of a legend. At the very least, Huo Hai had never seen anyone use them. If those two books had not been quite old, he would have dismissed them as something someone had simply made up.
