Nature and Operation

Spirit Formations are arrangements unique to the Heavenly Spirit Continent that use spiritual power to produce effects beyond ordinary techniques. They may draw upon Spirit Stones, Spirit Jade, Formation Artifacts, Formation Cores, earth veins, or a cultivator’s own power. Unlike Shamanic Formations, which operate through Shamanic Power, Spirit Formations fundamentally use spiritual power. 239

Use and Limitations

Ordinary Users

Spirit Formations are not exclusive to Spirit Formation Masters; ordinary cultivators can establish them from known diagrams. However, they cannot deploy or alter them with the same speed, flexibility, or precision. 72

Spirit Formation Masters specialize in using formations as combat and utility arts. Their Source Spirit Treasures are Formation Cores, enabling techniques unavailable to other Spirit Masters. 462
