Background

Su Mu was already known across the continent as a healing angel who had helped many people before the main events. During his travels, he and Bibi Dong rescued Xie An and Hu Liena from soul beasts and brought them into Spirit Hall Academy. 2 6 31

After obtaining his fourth Soul Ring, Su Mu reached Level 43 despite possessing an initially support-oriented martial soul. Qian Xunji recognized his exceptional talent and intended to appoint him Holy Son after the Soul Master Tournament. 1 4

His standing changed fundamentally when the Life Goddess selected him for a divine inheritance. The Destruction God King subsequently gave him a second martial soul and a second divine trial, making him the first known inheritor of two divine thrones. Qian Daoliu thereafter treated him as Spirit Hall’s future and urged him to keep the inheritances secret. 6 7 9

Su Mu led the recruitment of Dugu Bo and Dugu Xin by offering to cure the Dugu family’s inherited poison. He then guided the group to the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, where his distribution of Immortal Herbs enabled multiple allies to evolve their martial souls or break through cultivation bottlenecks. 10 11 14 15

Seeking a seventh tournament teammate, Su Mu identified Ah Yin as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor. Rather than exploiting her as a soul beast, he used the Life Goddess’s power to conceal her aura and formally recruited her into his team. 30 33 35 37

Su Mu has an androgynously beautiful appearance that regularly causes others to mistake him for a woman, though his upright bearing and youthful vigor make him distinctly masculine. 1 4 30

Personality

Su Mu is composed under provocation. When Tang Hao and Tang Chen disparaged support soul masters, he restrained Bibi Dong from escalating the conflict and accepted Tang Hao’s challenge without losing his temper. 5

He is observant and strategically minded, often recognizing opportunities or weaknesses before others do. He identified the value of the Man Faced Demon Spider, criticized Bibi Dong’s inefficient combat tactics, recruited specialized teammates, and used precise knowledge of the Dugu family’s poison to secure their allegiance. 1 3 6 10

Although generous with rare resources and opportunities, Su Mu is cautious about needless risks. He refused valuable Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Bones so his allies could strengthen themselves, warned Bibi Dong not to hunt the Dark Demon Evil God Tiger too early, and intervened to prevent the Life Goddess from punishing Bi Ji for abducting him. 19 26

Su Mu’s original martial soul is a support-type angel martial soul focused on healing, purification, recovery, and enhancement. It is also referred to as the Prayer Angel during his meeting with the gods. 1 7

Ah Yin’s Recruitment
