Background / History
Pope of Spirit Hall
Qian Xunji served as Pope of Spirit Hall before Bibi Dong and was his teacher. Their relationship produced a daughter, Qian Renxue. Yu Xiaorou cited this entanglement as one of the reasons she broke with Bibi Dong and left Spirit Hall for Nording Academy 5 6 15.
Accounts of their relationship differ sharply. Su Yang initially interpreted the altered history as a romance, but later understood that Bibi Dong had forcibly taken his teacher and fathered Qian Renxue. Bibi Dong denied ever loving Qian Xunji, claiming that everything had been part of Spirit Hall’s plans; Yu Xiaorou accused him of making his teacher bear his child for power 6 14 15.
The conflict also circulated as public gossip. While gathering information in Notting City, Tang San heard a teahouse storyteller describe Bibi Dong’s falling-out with Qian Xunji as a struggle for power and recount the birth of their daughter 17.
Pursuit of Ah Yin
According to Tang Hao, Qian Xunji became infatuated with Ah Yin, a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor in human form. Qian Xunji mobilized Spirit Hall’s forces and offered to let him become Pope if he agreed to come to Spirit Hall. Ah Yin rejected the proposal without meeting Qian Xunji 20.
Tang Hao described the rejection as turning Qian Xunji’s attraction into hatred. After learning that Ah Yin was with her, Qian Xunji personally led two Titled Douluo in an ambush while he was alone, intending to kill or capture him. Ah Yin escaped the three-person siege but suffered severe wounds 20 21.
Ah Yin subsequently sacrificed himself to protect Tang Hao and their unborn child, giving her his hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring and Soul Bone. Tang Hao used the resulting increase in strength to fight off Spirit Hall’s pursuers before going into hiding in Holy Soul Village 21.
Death
Bibi Dong killed Qian Xunji and took the position of Pope. Tang Hao explicitly identified his pursuit of the papacy as the motive, observing that Qian Xunji’s death had already removed the person against whom she most directly sought revenge 21.
Legacy and Aftermath
The Soul Bone left by Ah Yin following the pursuit became a contested cultivation resource years later. His hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone was kept in a cave behind Holy Soul Village. After graduating from Nording Academy, Su Yang exploited Tang San’s departure for Shrek Academy to steal and absorb it, reaching Soul Power Level forty and gaining powerful healing and flight abilities 24 25.

Tang Hao’s account portrays Qian Xunji as possessive and vindictive: an extravagant offer to Ah Yin was followed by lethal force after rejection. Her testimony attributes the attack to wounded pride and jealousy rather than simply a desire for his Soul Ring and Soul Bone 20 21.
