Background / History

Originally designated K422, Freya receives her name from Cecilia, who chooses “Freya” for her while K422 names K423 “Aurora.” Freya treasures the name as something personally given to her by Cecilia rather than a designation assigned by Schicksal. 75

Freya later reveals that she and Aurora are clones of Theresa. She identifies Kiana as her eldest sister, Aurora as her youngest sister, and herself as the middle sister. 186 247 Although she uses the name Kiana Apocalypse for much of her public life, she considers herself Freya Schariac, Cecilia and Siegfried's second daughter, and a protector of Valkyries. 124 401

As Acting Grand Bishop, Freya rapidly consolidates Schicksal. She expands B-grade Stigmata production, prioritizes Valkyries for the new equipment, purges researchers implicated in experiments on Kiana, and uses welfare measures to secure Valkyrie support. 157 Her reforms elevate Valkyries from expendable personnel into Schicksal's central military and political base. 244 430

Her authority expands beyond Schicksal after its cooperation with Anti-Entropy. Freya establishes the Apocalypse Knights as a force directly loyal to her, permits independent Valkyrie squads, and founds a Valkyrie Guild for fighters who do not wish to join the knight order. 218 298 She later relinquishes much of the Alliance's formal authority to Theresa while remaining its Saintess, senior researcher, and strongest combatant. 357 427

Appearance

Freya's youthful appearance is frequently misleading: she appears roughly fourteen years old despite her unusual history and power. She is taller than Theresa by about a head. 369 398

  • Often wears the Twilight Knight armor as casual clothing; it was modified to fit her growth. 369
  • Her Finality transformation manifests a halo, three pairs of rhombus-shaped light wings, and a white-and-purple battle dress replacing her black-and-blue evening gown. 364
  • Her calm expression and faint smile are often compared to Otto Apocalypse, making her appear villainous when she is silent. 377

Personality

Freya combines a deliberately gentle Saintess image with a calculating, forceful leadership style. She openly acknowledges that improving Valkyrie treatment also secures their loyalty and strengthens the organization she needs to protect those important to her. 233 Her policies earn her both “Merciful Saintess” and harsher reputations such as “cold-hearted” or “scheming” Saintess. 233

Her strongest attachment is to Valkyries, whom she considers family rather than expendable assets. She is willing to take cruel or politically aggressive action for their safety, but her concern does not extend equally to all people; Freya admits that her protection is primarily directed toward her family, close companions, and Valkyries. 320 349 452

Freya is also self-aware about her weaknesses. She recognizes her dependence on Rita, her excessive favoritism toward Valkyries, and her fear of becoming the Herrscher of Finality. 329 427 255 Despite her intimidating power, she can be mischievous, affectionate, and prone to abandoning cleanup work to others. 240 398

Abilities & Skills

Multi-Herrscher Authority

Freya can wield the authorities of numerous Herrschers without becoming a complete Herrscher herself. Her special physique, Void-derived DNA, inherited consciousness abilities, and status as a Finality backup vessel enable this breadth of power. 349 370 507

  • Uses known sequential authorities including Reason, Void, Wind, Ice, Death, Flames, Rock, Domination, Constraint, and Erosion. 349
  • Has sensed non-sequential abilities including Metal, Life, Force, Star, Light, and Darkness, though these are harder for her to use. 349
  • Her most compatible authorities are Void and Consciousness. 348
  • Her Finality authority is incomplete and does not equal that of a true Herrscher of Finality. 364 370

Herrscher of Consciousness

Freya can interfere with thought, memory, emotion, and personality through consciousness-based powers. 323

  • Extracts information from minds and communicates with distant targets. 320 323
  • Can rewrite memories, remove thoughts, transplant emotions, fabricate personalities, and mentally control people. 323
  • Her controlled subjects retain their original memories and experiences, but gain an implanted desire to serve her. 314
  • She generally avoids prying into others' capabilities without extraordinary cause. 309

Finality State

Freya can enter a Finality transformation that grants overwhelming combat power and a divine physical presence. 364 461

  • Generates barriers and fights with multiple Herrscher authorities while transformed. 364
  • Her Finality state suppresses her emotions and encourages a colder, more rational demeanor. 364
  • She can contain even a fully realized parallel-world Herrscher of Finality within a consciousness space. 461
  • Kiana's awakening remains a critical vulnerability, as Kiana, Aurora, and Freya are bound together as a Finality trinity. 507

Honkai Energy Manipulation

Freya's precise manipulation of Honkai Energy supports both direct combat and technological development. 124 194

  • Creates energy spears, elemental attacks, barriers, fission bombs, and large-scale destructive displays. 255 350 352
  • Uses Void authority for portals and rapid movement. 240 445
  • Can neutralize Honkai Energy by creating an energy vacuum; this ability also weakens other forms of energy within its range. 484
  • Her blood's neutralization property makes her exceptionally dangerous to Herrschers. 484

Type-B Stigmata Engineering

Freya develops and mass-produces Type-B Stigmata to strengthen Valkyries. 156 391

  • Activates incomplete Stigmata gene fragments in modern humans. 156
  • Gives users improved Honkai resistance and the ability to freely manipulate Honkai Energy. 156
  • Raises even the weakest initial recipients above the former A-rank standard. 156
  • Uses partial Finality authority to shape the Stigmata and Honkai Crystals required for production. 391

Leadership and Strategy

Freya is an effective political operator, military organizer, and researcher despite considering her research talent inferior to specialists such as Jackal. 157 478

  • Uses intelligence, blackmail, and political pressure to consolidate Schicksal and acquire territory. 162
  • Organizes Valkyrie forces around the Apocalypse Knights, independent squads, and the Valkyrie Guild. 218 298
  • Prioritizes research and training systems that reduce Valkyrie casualties rather than treating them as consumable soldiers. 244 407
  • Classifies enhanced combatants into biological, ability, and consciousness development paths to prevent them from wasting their potential. 426

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Black Abyss White Flower — A Divine Key whose Creation and Decay powers Freya permits Welt to analyze. 124 339
  • Dawn Glory — A weapon with a conversion device more efficient than Freya's own early flame-attribute conversion. 124
  • Toy Box lance — Freya's self-made lance; it eventually becomes unable to keep pace with her growth. 297
  • Twilight Knight armor — Customized armor Freya wears as casual clothing. 369
  • Void Archive / Twelfth Divine Key — A Previous Civilization knowledge space used to accelerate her Sea of Quantum research and develop planetary defenses. 381

Relationships

  • Cecilia — Mother figure who names Freya; Freya regards the name as one of her most precious possessions. 75
  • Siegfried — Father; Freya considers him family but is often too shy to call him “father.” 320 401
  • Kiana — Eldest sister and a central weakness in Freya's Finality-related condition. 247 507
  • Aurora — Youngest sister and fellow Theresa clone; Freya is intensely protective of her. 186 247
  • Rita Rossweisse — Adjutant, maid, confidante, and romantic partner. Rita's companionship is a major source of emotional support for Freya. 329 452
  • Welt Yang — Anti-Entropy ally and Schicksal's special advisor; he supports Freya's reforms but is often sidelined by her unilateral decisions. 157 212
  • Tesla — Research partner and close ally; she challenges Freya's Valkyrie favoritism while retaining faith in Freya's intentions. 157 361 426
  • Theresa Apocalypse — Fellow clone and formal Alliance leader after Freya delegates authority; Theresa struggles to counter Freya's influence over Valkyrie policy. 186 427
  • Bianca — Protégé whom Freya trains as a prospective successor and future symbol for Schicksal's Valkyries. 330
  • Otto Apocalypse — Political rival and personal enemy whom Freya considers a selfish but extraordinarily capable man. 233 435
  • Jackal — Former adversary who becomes Freya's research assistant and collaborator in ability and antibody research. 341 478
