History

The Lihuo Divine Furnace was once a divine weapon used by Hengyu Great Emperor alongside his imperial furnace. Its materials prevented it from becoming a true Extreme Dao Emperor Weapon, but it remained a ninth-level Quasi-Emperor Weapon only a step below that rank. At some point it was found by the ancestor of the Lihuo Sect, which subsequently treated it as its sect-protecting treasure. 26 29

Ji Hao made reclaiming the furnace his priority before entering Purple Mountain. When the Lihuo Sect refused his claim and its Supreme Elder attacked him with the furnace, Ji Hao used the Eight Gods Desolate Force and his Emperor Blood to summon it directly into his palm. The furnace ignored the sect elder’s weapon-control art. 25 26

After recovering it, Ji Hao used the furnace throughout Purple Mountain to protect himself, refine his divine sense and sword embryo in the Yin-Yang Eye, and attempt to free Jiang Taixu from the purple jade wall. The wall regenerated after being burned away, forcing Ji Hao to stop rather than risk awakening Purple Mountain’s sealed creatures or drawing the Beginningless Bell’s attention. 28 29

In the Fire Domain, the Lihuo Divine Furnace protected Ji Hao against Seven-Colored Divine Flame and helped suppress it for refinement. Its form and divine patterns became the model for the Living Flame’s transformation into the Saint Spirit Furnace. It later collected Nine-Colored Divine Fire to sustain the latter furnace’s month-long forging process. 35 37

Appearance

The furnace is a bronze vessel that can expand from roughly one inch tall to a colossal hundred-meter form. Its bronze lid shines like transparent five-colored glazed crystal, allowing its internal flames to be seen. 26
