Roy had slept poorly all night, staying up until late before finally dozing off. He woke on his own at the crack of dawn. With Dumbledore no longer at school, he planned to ask Professor McGonagall for two days off first.
Having rested for only a few hours, Roy soon headed out again. When Cedric, who had been waiting for Roy's answer, got up, he once again found only Roy's empty bed.
"Where did he run off to again?"
Cedric could only grumble a few words at Roy's empty bed. Before long, though, he saw Roy, who had also come for breakfast, in the Great Hall.
"Where did you run off to so early in the morning?"
By the time Cedric and the others arrived, Roy had already started eating. At this point, there was no need for Roy to personally tell them what had happened to Mia. The Daily Prophet scattered everywhere was bound to report such a serious disaster. On the front page was a clear photograph of Godric's Hollow, utterly reduced to ruins.

Cedric and the others huddled around the same front-page Daily Prophet headline, each of them wearing a grave, worried expression.
Roy glanced around before carefully explaining the whole sequence of events to them.
"That's right. Don't spread it around."
