Background

Chu Yuan is a transmigrator who occupied the Golden Dragon King’s body. After a thousand years in that body, he escaped the God Realm through an unknown passage using system-provided talismans, arriving in the Star Dou Forest with his divine origin severely depleted. 1 2

He immediately recognized the era from Ah Yin’s sacrifice and set out to change the Golden Dragon King’s original fate. His long-term objective is to restore his origin, absorb the Silver Dragon King’s bloodline, become the new Dragon God, and unite the soul beasts against the God Realm. 1 4

Before revealing himself, Chu Yuan concealed the Silver Dragon King’s resting place beneath Star Lake with a Space Concealment Talisman. He then deliberately released his aura to summon Di Tian, whom he considered both exceptionally capable and badly wasted under the Silver Dragon King’s passive rule. 1

Appearance

In human form, Chu Yuan can appear as a refined young man in a silver-white robe. During battle, he manifests golden armor formed from his own origin power. 5 23

Personality

Chu Yuan is domineering, battle-hungry, and bluntly contemptuous of weakness or passivity. The Golden Dragon King’s violent disposition has increasingly influenced his temperament, though he often expresses that aggression through dry humor rather than uncontrolled rage. 2

He is also calculating. Rather than immediately killing Tang San, he uses divination to determine that doing so would create more dangerous replacements, then chooses to disrupt Tang San’s opportunities instead. 4 He similarly prefers preserving valuable assets: he refuses the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ offer of their remaining origin power because their possible revival is worth more than a minor recovery for himself. 9

Despite his ruthlessness toward enemies and perceived traitors, Chu Yuan invests heavily in subordinates who demonstrate loyalty or potential. He gives Di Tian authority over Star Dou Forest, supplies soul beasts with talismans to survive tribulations, and offers the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King a path away from certain death. 13 25

After escaping the God Realm, Chu Yuan hides the Silver Dragon King, summons Di Tian, and proves his identity by effortlessly defeating Xiong Jun. He then persuades Di Tian to abandon passive obedience and formally lead the soul beasts under the Golden Dragon King’s command. 1 3

Chu Yuan expels human soul hunters from Star Dou Forest, promotes seven 90,000-year soul beasts to 100,000 years, and uses Lightning-Avoidance Talismans to prevent their tribulations. 4 5

Unifying Soul-Beast Forces

Chu Yuan expands his influence beyond Star Dou Forest by approaching the rulers of the Extreme North. He uses Ice Empress’s successful tribulation evasion to demonstrate that soul beasts can survive, become Divine Beasts, and eventually resist the God Realm. 6 7

He later recovers the remains and divine bones of the Ice Dragon King and Fire Dragon King from the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, preserving their remnant souls rather than consuming their remaining origin power. 8 9

Dragon Tomb Recovery and the Conquest of Heaven Dou City

Chu Yuan leaves Di Tian in charge of Star Dou Forest while he searches for the Dragon Tomb. After absorbing Dragon Qi and restoring seventy percent of his origin, he returns to find the soul beasts significantly strengthened. 13 14

To expand the soul beasts’ territory and seize the Vast Sea Cosmic Shroud, Chu Yuan personally attacks Heaven Dou City. A single palm strike destroys over half the city; he kills Emperor Xue Ye and his officials, takes the artifact, and orders the city repopulated with plant-type soul beasts. 15 16

Destruction of Sea God Island

After recruiting Tian Meng and locating Sea God Island, Chu Yuan leads an assault against the Sea God’s inheritance site. He orders the extermination of the Demon Soul Great White Shark Clan for serving humanity and assigns his subordinates according to their strengths. 20 21

Chu Yuan confronts Poseidon’s divine sense directly, captures the Sea God Trident, reflects Unfixed Storm with Golden Dragon Shakes the World, and destroys Poseidon’s divine consciousness with Golden Dragon Breath. 23 24

Conflict with the God Realm

Chu Yuan captures a Rank Three God to use as a vessel for the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ remnant souls. Their shared control of the body is limited to three months each before a recovery period is required. 28 32

When the Asura God intervenes through a divine sense possessing First-Level God strength, Chu Yuan uses the Golden Dragon Spear, spatial movement, Dragon Breath, the Sea God Trident, and Poseidon’s stored divine sense to force its self-destruction. 31

The five God Kings subsequently decide to use Asura’s inheritor as bait and activate the Three Realms Judgment Sword if Chu Yuan can be drawn back into the God Realm. 32
