Divine hierarchy

The God Realm recognizes a ranked hierarchy of divine beings:

Restrictions on the lower realm

• The God Kings cannot readily leave the God Realm; their full power would destroy the comparatively fragile Douluo Star. 26 32
• If a God King descended while suppressing themself to First-Level God strength, the Golden Dragon King could potentially defeat them at equal power. 32
• The realm maintains rules against direct interference in the lower realm, though Asura secretly arranged Tang San's succession and transferred a soul to Douluo Continent. 1 26
• Soul Beasts' Heavenly Tribulations are described as a mechanism of God Realm suppression, limiting their path toward godhood. 7

History

Following an ancient battle with the Golden Dragon King, the God Realm was left heavily damaged: its buildings lay in ruins and divine blood covered the ground. The five Divine Kings pursued the escaping Golden Dragon King to an unknown black passage, but could not follow because they did not know its destination. Destruction instead ordered the realm repaired and demanded that Asura explain his illegal interference in the lower realm. 1

The realm remained unable to directly confront the Golden Dragon King after he resurfaced on Douluo Continent. It monitored the continent closely enough that Chu Yuan avoided large-scale early campaigns for fear of revealing himself. 4

After the destruction of Sea God Island and the loss of Poseidon's Divine Thought, the Five God Kings convened. Evil proposed dispatching a Rank Three God carrying a portion of Asura's divine sense to kill the weakened Golden Dragon King; the plan was approved. 26

The operation failed when Chu Yuan defeated the Rank Three God and destroyed Asura's Divine Thought. Learning that Chu Yuan had recovered at least seventy percent of his origin, the God Kings concluded that ordinary divine agents were insufficient. 31 32

The Five God Kings then approved a contingency plan: Asura's inheritor must become a god within ten years, approach Chu Yuan within one hundred meters, and forcibly draw both of them into the God Realm. There, the Gods intend to use the Three Realms Judgment Sword against the Golden Dragon King's Dragon God lineage. If the deadline fails, they intend to descend directly despite the risk of destroying Douluo Star. 32

Known Divine Assets

• Sea God Island — Poseidon's former ascension site and inheritance ground; it contained the Sea God Temple, the Sea God's Trident, and residual divine power. It was destroyed by Chu Yuan's forces. 20 22 24
• Slaughter City — Asura's inheritance ground on Douluo Continent; it cannot be probed by Chu Yuan's spiritual power. 15 26
• Divine Thoughts — Fragments of a god's consciousness that can act in the lower realm. Their destruction damages the originating god's origin. 22 24 31
• Divine inheritances — Divine positions and trials granted to selected lower-realm successors, including Tang San's intended Asura inheritance and Yu Xiaogang's Fart God position. 26 27
• Three Realms Judgment Sword — A fusion divine technique led by Asura and combined with the powers of Evil and Kindness; it was created specifically to restrain the Dragon God's two incarnations. 32

Relationships

• Golden Dragon King / Chu Yuan — Primary enemy. His escape devastated the realm, killed numerous gods, and triggered repeated God Realm operations against him. 1 9 26 32
• Asura God — One of the Five God Kings and the God of Law Enforcement. He covertly selected Tang San as his inheritor and arranged special treatment for Yu Xiaogang. 1 26
• God of Destruction — A God King who prioritizes repairing the damaged realm and openly challenges Asura's lower-realm interference. 1 26
• Evil God King — A leading authority in the Five God Kings' deliberations; proposed both the Rank Three God operation and the plan to lure Chu Yuan into the God Realm. 26 32
• Sea God Poseidon — Peak First-Level God whose Sea God Island and Divine Thought were destroyed by Chu Yuan; he reported the Golden Dragon King's location to the God Kings. 20 24 26
• Tang San — Asura's designated inheritor and a central component of the plan to lure the Golden Dragon King back to the God Realm. 26 27 32
• Soul Beast Clan — A lower-realm faction that views the God Realm as the force behind Heavenly Tribulations and the restriction of Soul Beast ascension. 7 25
