Background / History

Asura secretly transferred a soul to Douluo Continent and selected Tang San as his future inheritor, despite such interference in the lower realm violating God Realm regulations. The Golden Dragon King publicly exposed this arrangement while escaping the God Realm, leaving Asura politically vulnerable before the other Divine Kings. 1 26

He considers Tang San uniquely suited to inherit his position because of what he describes as Tang San’s impartial character and endurance of humiliation. Asura also arranged for Tang San’s teacher, Yu Xiaogang, to inherit the Rank Three Fart God position so Tang San would not leave his teacher behind upon ascending. 26 27

Before Tang San, Tang Chen had been an inheritor of Asura’s divine position. After Tang Chen was corrupted in Slaughter City, Asura abandoned him as unsuitable; when the Golden Dragon King became an urgent threat, Asura restored Tang Chen’s consciousness and recruited him to train Tang San instead. 32 34

Personality

Asura presents himself as an impartial enforcer of divine law, yet repeatedly uses his authority to favor Tang San and Yu Xiaogang. He defends his interference as necessary for the God Realm’s future while arranging exceptional protection, inheritance opportunities, and status for his chosen successor’s circle. 26 27

He is prideful and initially underestimates the weakened Golden Dragon King. After his Divine Thought is defeated, his confidence gives way to alarm, and he becomes willing to use Tang San as bait in a plan that could endanger both the inheritor and Douluo Star. 31 32

Three Realms Judgment Sword

Intervention on Douluo Continent

After Poseidon reports the destruction of Sea God Island, Asura supports the plan to send a Rank Three God to the lower realm carrying his Divine Thought. He gives the emissary two additional priorities: protect Tang San and initiate Yu Xiaogang’s Fart God trials. 26 27

Battle with the Golden Dragon King

The Rank Three God’s defeat triggers Asura’s Divine Thought manifestation. Chu Yuan counters its sword qi, detonates the captured Sea God’s Divine Thought at close range, and ultimately forces Asura’s fragment to self-destruct. 30 31

God Realm Countermeasure

Following the loss of his Divine Thought, Asura convenes the other God Kings. They approve a plan to use Tang San’s eventual ascension to lure the Golden Dragon King into the God Realm and execute him with the Three Realms Judgment Sword. 32
