Background

Li Qingxiao’s consciousness awakened on Penglai Immortal Island within the lost seed of the Chaos Green Lotus. After countless epochs, that seed had become the Twelfth-Grade Purifying White Lotus: an innate treasure able to purify karma and resist all techniques. He deliberately released his suppressed foundation, endured eighty-one bolts of Heavenly Dao Punishment, and used their purified essence to complete his transformation into a human Daluo Golden Immortal. 1

Possessing knowledge of the Primordial World’s future, Li Qingxiao rejects becoming a pawn of the Heavenly Dao or Hongjun. He instead pursues resources, alliances, and opportunities that can let him influence events without directly overturning Heaven’s ordained course. His early actions show both ambition and restraint: he harvests mature resources on Penglai but leaves immature spiritual plants untouched. 1

Rather than claim a Purple-Gold Futon, he places himself behind Hong Yun and Kunpeng. He stops Hong Yun from giving up the fifth futon to Zhunti, an intervention that changes the destined seating arrangement and makes Li an anomaly in Hongjun’s eyes. 7 9 11
