• A massive rock formation broke off Mt. Moon’s secondary peak, triggering tremors and a dust cloud.
• Wu Shan received Lunatone and Solrock’s Telepathic images of huge numbers of wild Pokémon fleeing the mountain, including some heading toward the defensive line.
• Officer Jenny ordered the defensive line to take combat positions, and Trainers readied their Pokémon and used enhancement moves.
• Wild Rock and Ground type Pokémon charged toward the line as the ground shook, while Officer Jenny directed the first and second defensive lines.
• Wu Shan sent Lunatone thousands of meters ahead of the defensive line, where it released the pressure it had kept contained.

Xinhai began balance training for his Pokémon during the voyage, using three slippery logs towed behind the inflatable boat. Eevee, Blaziken, and Grovyle each tried to stay upright on a log, and after they fell, Gardevoir caught them with Confusion before Xinhai sent them back to practice.

• Xinhai and his Pokémon cut down a dead tree, tied three logs behind the inflatable boat, and set out to sea with Milotic and Quagsire.

• Inner Focus and two Whirlpools incapacitated many Carvanha and trapped the rest of the school.
• Two Sharpedo escaped the closing Whirlpools and charged at Xinhai's boat.
• Milotic and Quagsire struck the Sharpedo with Water Pulse, knocking one unconscious and driving the other away.
• Xinhai told Quagsire to hurry away, and Gardevoir used Confusion to steady him and lift the trailing logs as they sped across the sea.

• Sayuri called out her name as the children left, and Xinhai promised to remember it.
• Xinhai spent a quiet night camping by the beach with his companions, then packed up and set out across the sea the next morning.
• Over the following days, Xinhai and his Pokémon trained on a floating tree trunk and repelled attacks from wild Carvanha and Tentacruel.

Xinhai arrived at Azure Wave Island, checked into a spacious Pokémon Center suite, and rested after his long journey at sea. While planning to explore the island the next day, he read about its history and considered taking Eevee diving.

• Xinhai brought ten Poké Balls and his Pokédex to Nurse Joy, requested full recovery treatment for his Pokémon, and booked a room.
• Xinhai settled into his suite with Eevee and Gardevoir, then decided to rest and explore the island the following day.
