Hachi, Kuroobi, and all the surviving Fish-men cried out in pain.

At that moment, terror rose in their eyes.

Most of them had once been members of the Sun Pirates. They had seen the vastness of the world.

And these three Marines made them remember once more the fear of being utterly dominated by the Marines on the Grand Line!

"Gulp..."

Hachi, Kuroobi, and the others instinctively swallowed.

When they looked at Ener, Gin, and Zoro again, their gazes had completely changed.

Their previous arrogance was gone, as was their contempt for Ener, Gin, and Zoro. All that remained was reverence for the strong and fear of death.

Ener flicked the blood from his fingers and said coldly, "Kill..."

These Fish-men.

They would have made decent subordinates. If he brought them all under his command, his forces would grow even stronger... But they shared a blood feud with Nami.

If he used them, then he could not recruit Nami.

She was an outstanding navigator, and once she developed further, her strength would be respectable as well. Once she sincerely submitted, she would stand with you through life and death.

That was exceedingly rare.

Compared to that, these somewhat capable Fish-men became insignificant.

Gin and Zoro immediately went on a rampage, and Fish-men fell one after another beneath their hands.

Nami stood at the bow with her mouth wide open, her face full of disbelief. Though she believed Ener and his group could deal with the Arlong Pirates,

she had never imagined they would defeat Arlong so easily.

He was the highest-bounty pirate in the East Blue.

There had once been a righteous Marine who came to suppress the Arlong Pirates.

He was Brin-Brin, a Marine branch Commodore. After learning of it from a little boy and receiving a plea for help from the villagers of Kesha Town, he had come to capture Arlong and his Fish-man pirate crew!

He was a fine Marine!

At first, he had blasted Arlong Domain with a single cannon shot, but reality was cruel. Evil was simply too powerful.

And he suffered a crushing defeat!

Yet that did not lessen Nami's admiration for him. If not for his existence, the Marines would have seemed even more evil than Arlong in her eyes.

After all, Arlong had been able to run amok like this because Marines had been involved, such as Captain Nezire.

And that had been a Marine Commodore!

At that moment, Ener glanced at Nami, who was still on the ship.

"Shave!"

Ener vanished from the spot in an instant. When he appeared again, he was already standing beside Nami.

The next second, Ener wrapped an arm around Nami's slender waist and pulled her into his embrace...

The sudden change startled Nami. She instinctively turned her head and discovered that it was Ener. She froze slightly; this was the first time she had ever been so intimate with a man.

And from this angle, blue sky stretched above Ener's head, with the sun directly behind him. Its lingering glow seemed to settle over his body.

He looked as though a god had descended to the world.

On top of that, Ener was already imposing without losing his handsome features. Enhanced by that angle, he was simply impossibly dashing.

Nami found herself staring at him in a daze.

A blush spread across her cheeks.

They said heroes could not resist beautiful women, but what beautiful woman did not love a hero?

"Shave!"

The next second, Ener brought Nami to the entrance of Arlong Domain.

Ener said, "You should know where Arlong hid his treasure, right? Take Lina there..."

As he spoke, he looked to the side. Lina had already caught up. Meeting Ener's gaze, she pursed her lips in a soft smile and nodded. "Don't worry! I definitely won't leave behind a single Beli!"

Ener nodded in satisfaction.

"Thank you, Major..."

After everything was over, Nami brought Ener back to her home.

Another equally outstanding young woman appeared before Ener. She had short blue hair, blue tattoos on both arms and the upper part of her chest, and wore a tank top, long pants, and white sneakers.

She was a calm and steady young woman, distinct from Nami in her own way.

Ener waved his hand. "Although I am a Marine Inspector, I still belong to the Marines. Dealing with pirates is the duty we Marines ought to uphold. In any case, I must apologize to all of you on behalf of the Marines. If Captain Nezire had not colluded with the Arlong Pirates, they would never have been allowed to go this far."

Nojiko said, "He is him, and you are you. After all, the Marines are made up of people. If there are people like you, then there will naturally be people like him."

Ener was slightly stunned by her words.

It had to be said that Nojiko saw human nature very clearly. He could not help turning to look at Nami. They had been raised by the same mother, so why was the difference so great?

Compared with Nojiko, Nami was far more impulsive.

then from that day onward, the island would be under Inspector Division Two's protection.

More importantly, she would be the one establishing it. That meant

she would hold a certain position within Inspector Division Two in the future. If nothing else, protecting Cocoyasi Village would only take a word from her.

Ener nodded in satisfaction.

Arlong had already been dealt with. Would Captain Nezire not be even easier to handle?

Three days later, Ener led his group back to Loguetown.

Three hundred million Beli!

He truly had not expected Arlong to possess so much.

And they had even gotten one hundred million Beli from Captain Nezire.

That brought them four hundred million Beli in one stroke.

They were still short by two billion six hundred million.

It was as though Smoker and Tashigi had known Ener would come. They were waiting at the harbor early.

The next second, Ener appeared before the two of them.

"So it really is the Six Powers!"

The corner of Smoker's eye twitched. Then his expression toward Ener became complicated. Only after a long while did he say, "You brat, you've been hiding yourself well!"

Tashigi beside him was equally shocked.
