Background / History
Origin and inherited identity
Gu Yuena emerged after the Dragon God’s body was cleaved by Asura God. The early account describes the Golden and Silver Dragon Kings as his two halves; later revelations explain that they are separate consciousnesses formed from authorities left behind after his fall. Gu Yuena inherited Creation Authority and elemental control, while the Golden Dragon King inherited Destruction Authority and bodily power 2 81 109.
The Creation Authority originally belonged to the Phoenix God King, whom the Dragon God killed during his rise. Although Gu Yuena possesses fragments of the Dragon God’s memories, she is not his original personality or the biological continuation of his bloodline. Nevertheless, she bases her identity on being “half of the Dragon God” for hundreds of thousands of years 84 94 109.
Life Lake and the Crown Prince’s return
Gu Yuena spends countless years asleep at Life Lake, with Di Tian serving her as his lord. When a distant dragon roar reaches her, its bloodline resonance awakens memories of the Dragon God mourning his dead son. She recognizes the Crown Prince’s rebirth and immediately begins thinking of him as her own child 2.
His return displaces her previous priorities. Rather than pursuing the Soul Beasts’ feud with humanity, she orders Di Tian to investigate recent martial soul awakenings in eastern human cities. She hopes to replace the maternal love the Crown Prince lost when his mother died 2.
Appearance
- Hair: Long silver-white hair, worn loose in ordinary life and tied into a high ponytail during the Dragon God fusion 23 55 91.
- Eyes: Silver in her early appearances; violet or purple in later scenes. Her pupils contract into silver slits when she hears the Crown Prince’s roar 2 23 34 91.
- Initial human form: Appears around six years old, with exceptionally beautiful features and a composure that attracts Leng Yaozhu’s attention 23 24.
- Later appearance: Slender and elegant, with a mature bearing. After Qi Ji’s five-year absence, her appearance is described as largely unchanged 91.
- Silver Dragon manifestation: A slender, graceful silver-white dragon with reflective scales and eyes resembling faint starlight 24.
Personality
Gu Yuena is normally calm, authoritative, and proud. She dismisses Di Tian’s objections to their false family arrangement and confidently challenges Tang Wuling in both combat and mecha design. Her pride also shapes her fighting standards: she refuses to defeat Tang Wuling through overwhelming Mental Power because she wants a convincing, head-on victory 23 36 51.
Toward Qi Ji, she is tender, attentive, and possessive. Feeding him and seeing him safely eat and laugh reassure her because she remembers the Crown Prince’s death through the Dragon God’s memories. Her attachment ultimately outweighs both restoring the complete Dragon God and claiming the Golden Dragon King’s power 34 53 82.
Her great age does not translate into extensive personal experience. Di Tian eventually recognizes that she has spent most of her existence asleep, leaving her emotionally inexperienced and prone to withdrawing when overwhelmed. Romantic feelings for Qi Ji expose this weakness: she becomes flustered, escapes through spatial movement, and later shuts herself away rather than resolve the conflict 92 94 109.
Her strategic judgment is uneven. She devises a practical disguise to access human institutions, but later defends a long-term infiltration plan despite having never personally seen the Red-Grade Mechas she fears. The narration also attributes some of her love-addled decisions to the Rank-Ten Love Gu 23 110.
Abilities & Skills
Silver Dragon Martial Soul and Elemental Heart
Her human-form martial soul manifests as a silver-white dragon. After reaching three rings, she can fully unleash the Elemental Heart, granting deeper and more precise elemental control 24 35.
- Initially demonstrates earth, water, wind, and fire, repeatedly combining and separating them in her palms 24.
- Later manipulates earth, water, wind, fire, light, and darkness simultaneously 35.
- Fuses six elements into a stable energy sphere that distorts the surrounding air. She believes an ordinary Soul Emperor could not withstand it head-on, though Qi Ji interrupts before she attacks 35.
Spatial Manipulation
Gu Yuena uses spatial power for movement, evasion, and defensive reinforcement 34 55 109.
- Teleports herself and Tang Wuling away from Qi Ji’s restaurant table to avoid an incoming attack 34.
- Attempts to open a Space Gate and increase her distance from Qi Ji during the tournament final 55.
- Uses spatial movement to escape embarrassing conversations and leave for shopping 92 110.
- Reinforces her bedroom door with space law; the barriers cannot withstand God King-level Qi Ji’s punch 109.
Mental Power
Her original Mental Power cultivation is God King-level, but her rebuilt cultivation operates under restrictions. By the Skysea tournament, she has recovered to the Spirit Abyss Realm 51.
- Holds more than ten times Tang Wuling’s Mental Power at that point 51.
- Could, according to the narration, collapse Tang Wuling’s consciousness before she releases a soul skill 51.
- Deliberately declines to use that advantage against her rival 51.
- Applies her exceptional Mental Power to mecha design, a field in which she is described as unmatched among her age group 36.
Golden–Silver Dragon King Fusion
Gu Yuena leads a Martial Soul Fusion Skill with Tang Wuling by temporarily combining the Silver Dragon King’s origin with the inherited Golden Dragon King power. Tang Wuling must lower her resistance for the fusion to form 54 55.
- Produces a nine-colored Dragon God form, described as recreating at least half of the Dragon God’s might 55.
- Fires nine-colored elemental attacks that Qi Ji’s Elemental Dispel cannot completely neutralize 55.
- Favors elemental control over physical strength because Gu Yuena directs the fusion 55.
- Has a time limit and only about fifty-percent compatibility during their first use 55.
- Cannot combine the Golden and Silver Dragon Spears into one weapon. Qi Ji identifies a weakness in its armor and forcibly dismantles the fusion, leaving both participants unconscious 55.
Dragon Aura Recognition
Her inherited memories and connection to the Dragon God allow her to distinguish ancient dragon powers 2 35 80.
- Recognizes the reborn Crown Prince through bloodline resonance in his roar 2.
- Detects the Golden Dragon King’s aura in Tang Wuling despite remembering that king’s death 34 35.
- Notices suppressed traces of the Dragon God in Xie Xie’s Soul Ring, although she cannot see through its disguised color 80.
- Recognizes a pure, primal dragon aura in Qi Ji after his return from Dragon Valley 91.
Equipment / Weapons / Items
The following appear during her fusion with Tang Wuling; the passages do not establish them as her ordinary equipment outside that form 55.
- Silver Dragon Spear — Held in her left hand and used to release nine-colored elemental barrages 55.
- Golden Dragon Spear — Held in her right hand and used for a close-range clash with Qi Ji 55.
- Nine-Colored Battle Armor — Covers her fused form. A tiny crack at the left waist becomes the point Qi Ji strikes to break the fusion 55.
Relationships
- Qi Ji — The reincarnated Dragon God Crown Prince and her foremost priority. She initially regards him as her child, then struggles with romantic feelings that contradict that self-assigned maternal role. He consistently treats her as an independent person rather than part of the Dragon God 2 34 82 92 109.
- Tang Wuling — Rival for Qi Ji’s attention and inheritor of the Golden Dragon King’s power. Their hostility develops into reluctant cooperation, a shared fusion skill, and recognition that they will remain long-term companions 28 53 55 81.
- Di Tian / Gu Di — Long-serving subordinate who poses as her father in human society. After the Dragon God returns, he becomes less reverential and encourages her to regard herself as a unique Silver Dragon King 23 94 109.
- Zi JI / Gu Zi — Subordinate assigned to pose as her mother, the Demonic Dragon Douluo, for their Spirit Pagoda infiltration 23.
- Dragon God — Source of her Creation Authority and inherited memories, but a separate consciousness. His reappearance undermines her belief that she is his other half; he accepts the sincerity of her devotion to Qi Ji 81 82 94.
- Xu Xiaoyan — Companion who notices her unusual reaction to Xie Xie and later goes shopping with her 81 110.
- Xie Xie — Qi Ji’s companion in Dragon Valley. Gu Yuena questions him after detecting suspicious traces of the Dragon God in his new Soul Ring, but a restriction prevents him from explaining 80 81.
Story Role / Major Arcs
Entering Human Society
Gu Yuena creates a false reclusive family with Di Tian and Zi JI as her parents. Joining the Spirit Pagoda gives them a route to Soul Master awakening records and information on emerging geniuses. Leng Yaozhu welcomes the powerful adults as potential support against the Qian Gu Family 23.
Gu Yuena later appears eighth on the Young Genius Rankings as the Silver Dragon Princess, directly below Tang Wuling. She enrolls at Sun Moon Imperial Soul Engineering Academy, transfers into Qi Ji’s class, and pushes her desk together with his. Her conspicuous attention triggers a fight with Tang Wuling on her first day 28.
Skysea Alliance Grand Tournament
After the restaurant confrontation, Qi Ji proposes the tournament as a fair venue for the girls’ rivalry. Gu Yuena chooses mecha design as her secondary profession and receives high praise in that competition 36 51.
The expected duel between the Dragon Princesses becomes a two-against-one match when Qi Ji challenges them together. Gu Yuena offers Tang Wuling her hand, deciding that cooperation matters more than their rivalry. Their first fusion fails to overcome Qi Ji, who wins by exploiting its imperfect compatibility 53 55.
Dragon Valley Revelations
While Qi Ji is away, Gu Yuena detects inconsistencies in Xie Xie’s account of his return. The Dragon God’s divine consciousness emerges from him and publicly identifies her as the Silver Dragon King, confirming Tang Wuling’s inherited Golden Dragon King power as well 80 81.
When questioned by the Dragon God, Gu Yuena places standing beside Qi Ji above restoring the Dragon God’s complete form. Qi Ji subsequently chooses a different path to godhood rather than taking either woman’s power 82 85.
Identity Crisis After Qi Ji’s Return
Qi Ji’s return after five years turns Gu Yuena’s maternal attachment into an unresolved romantic conflict. She asks Di Tian how to make Qi Ji abandon his interest in her, but Di Tian instead explains that her origin does not make her the Dragon God 91 92 94.
She retreats into her Mingdu residence until Qi Ji confronts her directly. He explains the origin of her authority, challenges her restoration strategy, and urges her to live as herself. The discussion does not immediately resolve her feelings; she leaves to shop with Xu Xiaoyan, and he decides to give her time 109 110.
