Background / History

Found in Aolai City

Na’er was found alone beside a road in Aolai City by Lin Zhiwei, Mo Qingfeng, and Mo Yuan. She remembered only her name, had no knowledge of her family or past, and was visibly hungry and frightened. Lin Zhiwei earned her trust by offering food and taking her hand home. Mo Yuan immediately recognized her as the amnesiac human form of the Silver Dragon King, Gu Yuena 4.

No record of Na’er could be found in the city database. After she accepted Mo Yuan’s candied hawthorn and called him “brother,” the Mo family adopted her as Mo Yuan’s younger sister 6.

Na’er and Tang Wulin passed one another outside Red Mountain Academy shortly after her rescue, but neither recognized the other or spoke 4.

Recovered memories and separation

Na’er’s former memories returned suddenly, leaving her caught between her life with the Mo family and her identity as the Silver Dragon King. When Di Tian arrived to bring her back to the Star Dou Forest, she feared that resisting him would endanger Mo Yuan and her adoptive parents 10.

Before she left, Mo Yuan confronted Di Tian and insisted that Na’er was his little sister regardless of her past identity. He gave her a necklace with a protective Ninth-Level Soul Tool shield and placed a black feather—Fenghuang Down—into her forehead 11 13.

Fenghuang Down’s Multiple Manifestation separated Na’er’s personality from the Silver Dragon King’s consciousness. This prevented Gu Yuena from simply absorbing or erasing Na’er; the two were instead forced into coexistence within one body 14.

Return to Mo Yuan

While in the Star Dou Forest, Na’er continued missing Mo Yuan and found that the black feather helped her retain autonomy as the Silver Dragon King’s consciousness became more active 20.

She later came to Eastsea City because she missed Mo Yuan, rather than proceeding to Shrek Academy as originally intended. Mo Yuan confirmed that Fenghuang Down had severed Na’er’s memories from Gu Yuena’s; Gu Yuena did not recognize him or possess Na’er’s experiences 48.

Na’er returned with Mo Yuan to Aolai City and reunited emotionally with Lin Zhiwei and Mo Qingfeng, declaring that she was home 55. She subsequently remained close to Mo Yuan at Anti-Entropy, frequently taking control of their shared body to visit him 85 89.

Gu Yue suggested that Na’er could use the remaining Life Gold to make another body and stay beside Mo Yuan independently. Na’er declined because separating in that way would leave Gu Yue incomplete and interfere with her plans 82.

Mo Yuan later took Na’er to the concealed mountain hangar housing the nearly completed Chronos. During the visit, Gu Yue abruptly took control of their body, prompting Na’er to appear through a silver spiritual light screen and complain that she had been displaced without warning 90.

Romantic attachment and jealousy

Na’er’s attachment to Mo Yuan became openly romantic when she saw him escorting Xu Xiaoyan to her room. Taking control of their shared body, she clung to him, questioned Xu Xiaoyan’s identity, and kissed him in front of her. After learning that Xu Xiaoyan was a new Anti-Entropy recruit, Na’er introduced herself as Gu Yuena and offered to help her, then withdrew into the Spirit Sea and left Gu Yue to handle the embarrassment 125.

When Mo Yuan later came looking for her, Na’er initially refused to leave the Spirit Sea. Gu Yue forced her to return to the outside world, where Mo Yuan reciprocated her kiss. Na’er admitted that seeing an unfamiliar girl beside him had made her unhappy and declared that he was the most important person to her. They acknowledged their mutual affection, and Mo Yuan agreed to stay beside her that night 127.

The following morning, Na’er questioned Gu Yue about her own feelings for Mo Yuan and proposed that they join forces to keep other women away from him. She also stored the blanket from their first night together in a Storage Soul Tool before going to Mo Yuan’s office 128. She subsequently told him that she wanted to continue sleeping beside him 129.

Gu Yue’s plans and divided loyalties

Na’er overheard Gu Yue telling Di Tian that she intended to exploit Mo Yuan’s affection for Na’er to weaken human factions before disposing of him. Na’er threatened to tell Mo Yuan, but Gu Yue’s indifferent response unsettled her. In their subsequent private discussion, Gu Yue admitted that Anti-Entropy’s rapid development had disrupted her plans and that she found some of Mo Yuan’s arguments persuasive 163 164.

After Mo Yuan returned with Bai Xiuxiu, Na’er greeted him in his office and embraced him, initially wondering why he had begun raising fish 176. During the ensuing discussion with Gu Yue, Na’er revealed the plan to use and discard him. She remained beside Mo Yuan while he confronted Gu Yue through the Spirit Sea; Gu Yue eventually silenced Na’er and forcibly reclaimed control of their body 177.

When Gu Yue later withdrew into the Spirit Sea after speaking with the Ferocious Beasts, Na’er explained the situation to Mo Yuan. She criticized Gu Yue’s indecision, arguing that she should either carry out her own plan or cooperate fully with him. During the same conversation, Mo Yuan renewed his promise to take Na’er to the Star Luo Continent, specifying that they would go after the election as part of a state visit 188.

During Mo Yuan’s subsequent confrontation with Gu Yue, he stated that Na’er would have to be separated from her before Gu Yue could leave to resume her plans with Di Tian. Na’er appeared through a spiritual light screen and questioned Gu Yue’s intentions 194. No permanent separation followed; Na’er was still speaking to Gu Yue within their shared mind afterward 197.

Later life with their shared body

Na’er continued spending time with Mo Yuan while Gu Yue recovered. When she encountered Jin Ling in human form in his office, she initially feared that he had found someone to replace her. After Mo Yuan explained Jin Ling’s identity, he asked Na’er to hold her, and Na’er reluctantly began cuddling and pinching her. Na’er also reported that Gu Yue had entered hibernation after absorbing Full Moon Wearing Autumn Dew to restore her Mental Power 215.

Na’er later urged Gu Yue to act on her feelings for Mo Yuan rather than risk someone else taking the initiative. Embarrassed by their discussion, she dispersed her external mental avatar and returned to the Spirit Sea 230. After Gu Yue’s relationship with Mo Yuan became more intimate, Gu Yue monopolized control of their shared body while remaining close to him. Unable to come out, Na’er angrily declared that she would never speak to Gu Yue again 234.

Appearance

Na’er is a silver-haired girl whose appearance contrasts with her hidden identity as the Silver Dragon King.

• Short silver hair, initially dirty and unkempt when she was found alone 4.
• Crystal-like eyes; Na’er is distinguished from Gu Yuena by silver eyes, while Gu Yuena’s control is associated with purple eyes 48. Before their personalities were fully separated, her eyes were also described as purple or violet 4 11.
• Initially appeared about five or six years old and wore worn clothing before the Mo family cared for her 4.

Personality

Initially, Na’er is quiet, wary, and emotionally withdrawn. She speaks little after being found, follows Lin Zhiwei silently, and spends much of her time staring blankly into space. Her appetite, however, is unusually large; she rapidly finishes every dish prepared for her 4 5.

After joining the Mo family, she becomes openly affectionate, trusting Mo Yuan enough to call him “brother,” hug him, and seek his attention. She is playful, food-motivated, and easily excited by outings or gifts 6 8 85 90.

Na’er’s attachment to Mo Yuan deepens after their separation. She becomes jealous when other girls are close to him, impulsively kisses and embraces him, and later admits through her actions that she does not want to be separated from him. Her affection increasingly carries possessive and obsessive tendencies, including plans to keep other women away from him 126 128 129.

Her emotional dependence is especially pronounced during their confession: she describes her love as something for which she would trade her life and says she would not want to live if Mo Yuan stopped loving her 127. This insecurity persists even after their feelings are reciprocated, as shown by her initial fear that Jin Ling’s human form might replace her in his affections 215.

Despite frequently quarrelling with Gu Yue, Na’er also shows concern for her well-being. She refuses a separate body because of the harm it could cause Gu Yue and encourages her to acknowledge her feelings for Mo Yuan 82 128 230. Her matchmaking is not entirely selfless: she also hopes that cooperation with Gu Yue will help exclude romantic rivals 128.

Na’er is mischievous and enjoys exposing Gu Yue’s embarrassment or teasing her about Mo Yuan. However, she becomes frustrated with Gu Yue’s repeated retreats into the Spirit Sea and her inability to choose decisively between the Ferocious Beasts’ expectations and cooperation with him 118 128 177 188.
