Background / History

Found in Aolai City

Na’er was found alone beside a road in Aolai City by Lin Zhiwei, Mo Qingfeng, and Mo Yuan. She remembered only her name, had no knowledge of her family or past, and was visibly hungry and frightened. Lin Zhiwei earned her trust by offering food and taking her hand home. Mo Yuan immediately recognized her as the amnesiac human form of the Silver Dragon King, Gu Yuena 4.

No record of Na’er could be found in the city database. After she accepted Mo Yuan’s candied hawthorn and called him “brother,” the Mo family adopted her as Mo Yuan’s younger sister 6.

Na’er and Tang Wulin passed one another outside Red Mountain Academy shortly after her rescue, but neither recognized the other or spoke 4.

Recovered memories and separation

Na’er’s former memories returned suddenly, leaving her caught between her life with the Mo family and her identity as the Silver Dragon King. When Di Tian arrived to bring her back to the Star Dou Forest, she feared that resisting him would endanger Mo Yuan and her adoptive parents 10.

Before she left, Mo Yuan confronted Di Tian and insisted that Na’er was his little sister regardless of her past identity. He gave her a necklace with a protective Ninth-Level Soul Tool shield and placed a black feather—Fenghuang Down—into her forehead 11 13.

Fenghuang Down’s Multiple Manifestation separated Na’er’s personality from the Silver Dragon King’s consciousness. This prevented Gu Yuena from simply absorbing or erasing Na’er; the two were instead forced into coexistence within one body 14.

Return to Mo Yuan

While in the Star Dou Forest, Na’er continued missing Mo Yuan and found that the black feather helped her retain autonomy as the Silver Dragon King’s consciousness became more active 20.

She later came to Eastsea City because she missed Mo Yuan, rather than proceeding to Shrek Academy as originally intended. Mo Yuan confirmed that Fenghuang Down had severed Na’er’s memories from Gu Yuena’s; Gu Yuena did not recognize him or possess Na’er’s experiences 48.

Na’er returned with Mo Yuan to Aolai City and reunited emotionally with Lin Zhiwei and Mo Qingfeng, declaring that she was home 55. She subsequently remained close to Mo Yuan at Anti-Entropy, frequently taking control of their shared body to visit him 85 89.

Personality

Initially, Na’er is quiet, wary, and emotionally withdrawn. She speaks little after being found, follows Lin Zhiwei silently, and spends much of her time staring blankly into space. Her appetite, however, is unusually large; she rapidly finishes every dish prepared for her 4 5.

After joining the Mo family, she becomes openly affectionate, trusting Mo Yuan enough to call him “brother,” hug him, and seek his attention. She is playful, food-motivated, and easily excited by outings or gifts 6 8 85 90.

Na’er’s attachment to Mo Yuan deepens after their separation. She becomes jealous when other girls are close to him, impulsively kisses and embraces him, and later admits through her actions that she does not want to be separated from him. Her affection increasingly carries possessive and obsessive tendencies, including plans to keep other women away from him 126 128 129.
