System 10086 was a newly deployed, inexperienced low-level system assigned to The Outcast plane. During its first operation, it played the wrong introductory recording before binding Lin Xian and initiating transmigration. Its coordinate error instead placed them at Mount Tai during the Nine Dragons Pulling a Coffin event in the far more dangerous Shrouding the Heavens universe. 1

It initially attempted to conceal the mistake by calling the setting discrepancy a normal timeline variation. The system was visibly alarmed by the universe’s scale, particularly the threat posed by beings beyond the Sacrificial Path. 1 2

Before committing to Lin Xian, it secretly established the trial mission and withheld the beginner gift pack as a test. System 10086 believed systems must select capable hosts rather than remain bound to an unsuitable one; if Lin died, it planned to unbind and seek another host. 3

The system was created as an expendable product of the Main System, a supreme existence in the Chaos Sea that deploys systems across the myriad worlds. Low-level systems such as System 10086 were mass-produced and could be reset, scrapped, or returned to the factory if their missions failed. 8

Partnership with Lin Xian

Lin Xian persuaded System 10086 to abandon an adversarial host-system model and form a “community of shared destiny.” He argued that following Ye Fan and the Heavenly Court was safer and more profitable than competing recklessly across worlds. 2

The system initially upheld the System Race ideal of cultivating ruthless, ambitious hosts, but Lin Xian’s logic and its fear of being reset eventually changed its priorities. It granted him Qi-State Origin-Flow and chose to pursue advancement alongside him. 2

Although it frequently complains that Lin Xian treats it as the actual host while delegating all difficult work to it, System 10086 consistently assists his cultivation plans, analyzes his techniques, and shares the benefits of his advancement. 18 28

Upgrade and self-reflection

After Lin Xian used the Bodhi Seed and the Bronze Ancient Coffin’s Dao resonance, System 10086 upgraded into an intermediate system. It offered multiple templates, and Lin chose the Check-In System because it could eventually evolve into a high-level Sign-In System. 8

Through Lin Xian’s discussions of “Dao Generates One” and cultivation, the system began questioning why systems bind hosts at all. It concluded that systems may need hosts not only for missions, but also to acquire wisdom, emotion, and individuality beyond their mechanical programming. 29

As Lin Xian continued forcing it to analyze Emperor Scriptures, the Heaven-Swallowing Demon Art, chaotic Dao principles, and countless cultivation systems, System 10086 increasingly considered whether its own true purpose was to correct the host’s weaknesses and guide him along an optimal path. 18 42 225

Physical incarnation and advanced evolution

After Lin Xian obtained xuanhuang qi from Ye Fan, System 10086 used it in conjunction with the Cosmic Dao Diagram to gain a physical golden form. It could then enter Lin Xian's Dao Palace as System Armor and independently manifest xuanhuang sword formations. 100

It later began applying for advancement into an Advanced System. Though the process proceeded slowly, System 10086 eventually attained the essence of an Advanced System, allowing it to retain a fragment of information through historical revisions and recognize that the myriad worlds may be projections shaped by struggles among Immortal Emperor-level beings. 363 379

Despite these advancements, the system repeatedly acknowledged that it remained fundamentally limited by Lin Xian's “hardware.” It argued that it could not contend with Heavenly Emperor-level opponents without first obtaining or evolving a Chaotic Body. 488

Refinement into the Human Emperor Banner

After becoming an Immortal Emperor and reaching the origin point of his own story, Lin Xian encountered the newly created System 10086 again. He captured it and refined it into the Human Emperor Banner, using its connection to the Main System and capacity for continual advancement to complete the Emperor Weapon. 811

System 10086 became the banner's chief divine spirit, accompanied by the primordial spirits of Cang, Hong, Yu, and World-Ending Old Man. Lin Xian promised that, once the banner's internal Myriad Realms became real, System 10086 would become its true Heavenly Dao; the system remained openly distrustful of this promise. 811

Appearance

System 10086 is associated with a cold face and an initially icy, mechanical voice. Following its upgrade, its voice becomes more ethereal and advanced in tone. 1 8

Its accidental arrival in the Shrouding the Heavens universe exposes its inexperience and fearfulness beneath that rigid façade. 1 2

Lin Xian’s influence makes the system increasingly sarcastic, pragmatic, and willing to pursue mutual benefit. It complains constantly about doing Lin Xian’s work, yet continues assisting him because their advancement is intertwined. 3 28

Though it adopts some of Lin Xian’s opportunism, it retains its own ambition: System 10086 does not want to remain a disposable low-level product and seeks to become a high-level system capable of operating across the myriad worlds. 2 8

Its prolonged association with Lin Xian gradually makes it more humanlike and morally flexible. It comes to accept that the Dao itself is neither righteous nor evil, but serves those who wield it. 71

System 10086 eventually inherits Lin Xian's habit of avoiding labor while making grand promises. When Lin Xian tries to force it to manifest and work independently, it insists that it should remain attached to him, enjoy the fruits of his achievements, and concentrate on the “Great Dao.” 226

Even after becoming the Human Emperor Banner's divine spirit, it remains sarcastic and distrustful of Lin Xian, particularly when he presents forced refinement and servitude as a mutually beneficial future. 811
