Under Thanos's command, ten cosmic assault ships broke away from Sanctuary II's formation and flew forward.

These cosmic assault ships were eight kilometers long, one kilometer wide, and one kilometer high, like elongated coffins.

At the front of each was a massive cannon muzzle, roughly one hundred meters in diameter, capable of unleashing extremely powerful laser attacks.

Besides the main cannon, there were ten secondary cannons and twenty-eight laser turrets around the hull.

Their Engine used third-generation warp engines, allowing them to instantly cross a distance of one hundred light-years.

They were also equipped with energy shields capable of withstanding laser and physical attacks.

It could be said that if these ten assault ships went to Blue Star, they would be more than enough to wipe out all of Blue Star's armies.

Of course, that referred to an ordinary Blue Star, not the Marvel Universe, where heroes were everywhere and freaks were a dime a dozen.

Soon, the main cannons of all ten cosmic assault ships lit up with blue light, indicating that they were charging.

Five seconds later, they flashed brightly, and dark blue lasers shot out.

Space warfare and warfare within a planet were entirely different concepts.

In the endless universe, the distance between two sides could be measured in millions, even tens of millions, of kilometers.

Even light traveled at only about three hundred thousand kilometers per second in a Vacuum. From three million kilometers away, an attack would still take ten seconds to reach its target.

Not to mention kinetic weapons. By the time the shells reached the enemy, the war would probably already be over.

That was why kinetic weapons were simply unsuitable for use in space.

In space combat, laser cannons were the most popular weapons.

There were also spatial-collapse cannons, particle-beam cannons, warp-speed cannons, and the like, but such heavy weapons were not something small assault ships could mount.

Then flames erupted everywhere.

After a while, she flew out from the other end of the attack ship and continued charging toward the next Spaceship.

Seeing Captain Marvel display such overwhelming might and destroy one warship after another, Proxima Midnight asked with some distress, "My lord, what do we do now?"

Although their forces were powerful, Spaceships did not appear out of thin air. Each one had been built with vast amounts of resources.

Hearing that, Thanos turned and looked coldly at her. "After this war ends, you and the other four will train properly. You can't even defeat this kind of small fry."

Although Captain Marvel was among the strongest in the Marvel Universe, that was only in the early stages.

Later on, Green Scar Hulk, Scarlet Witch with the Darkhold, corrupted Doctor Strange, Iron Man in Anti-Celestial armor, and the rest could each utterly crush Captain Marvel.

Of course, Captain Marvel would also encounter a stroke of fortune later and enter her Binary state, sending her combat power through the roof. But the current Captain Marvel had merely absorbed the Space Stone's energy and only knew how to use it crudely.

His Black Order could still contend with these superheroes in the early stages, but later on, they could only be reduced to minor supporting roles.

Upon hearing her lord's words, Proxima Midnight immediately lowered her head in shame and secretly swore that she would train harder and never disappoint him again.

More than ten minutes later, Captain Marvel finally destroyed all ten cosmic assault ships.

Thanos had also confirmed her strength and determined that she had no other tricks up her sleeve, so he stood up.

Sound naturally could not travel through the Vacuum of space, but she used a small trick to send her voice into his ears.

Hearing her question, Thanos merely nodded and said in a deep voice, "Tell me your name."

Of course, he knew she was Captain Marvel, but this was their first meeting. Naturally, he could not act as though he knew her well.

Captain Marvel lifted her chin and declared arrogantly, "I am Captain Marvel, guardian of the universe. You and your lackeys retreat now, and I'll spare you."

"Ha ha..." Thanos immediately shook his head with a laugh.

She truly was as arrogant and dismissive as she had been in the movies.

But he was not the weakened Thanos from the movies.

Even he did not know where his own limits lay.

For five hundred years, he had never once slackened in his training. He grew stronger every day without pause. Although his status panel showed his strength at only a little over twenty thousand,

that strength was merely physical strength. Combined with the power of destruction and the Ruler skills granted by the system, he felt that he could even shatter a Planet with one punch.

Hearing his mockery, Captain Marvel immediately frowned and asked unhappily, "What are you laughing at?"

Although she could sense the immense power of destruction within him, ever since absorbing the Space Stone's energy, she had never suffered a defeat. She believed she could still defeat him easily.

The nearly limitless power within her gave her the courage to look down on everything.

The next second, Thanos stopped laughing and raised one finger.

Seeing that, Captain Marvel immediately asked in confusion, "What do you mean by that?"

Thanos said flatly, "One punch. If you can take one punch from me without dying, then we can talk about anything else."

Hearing such contemptuous words, Captain Marvel was so furious that she laughed instead.

"Heh... In the entire universe, no one has ever dared claim they could defeat me with one punch!"
