The Fool Reads "Diary of the Transmigrator"

After discussing informants, Luo Lin enthusiastically chatted with Klein about knowledge in the extraordinary domain for a while longer. Fully embodying his role as a teacher, he finally saw Klein out the door, as Klein needed to go home for dinner.

Watching the tram Klein was riding disappear into the distance, Luo Lin returned indoors. The smile of a bright and naive university student faded from his face. He stretched, let out a chuckle, and muttered, "Klein, he really is a good person..."

He genuinely preferred dealing with good people.

If nothing else, after this exchange, if Klein had been a major figure, Luo Lin could have practically taken off on the spot and borrowed power at least at the demigod level.

"A shame, but being an angel investor isn't bad either..." Luo Lin muttered to himself and returned to his second-floor laboratory. On the lab table, a half-finished talisman lay there, spiritual materials carelessly placed to the side, and further to the right, a book lay open.

Luo Lin walked to the workbench, tossed the runes on the half-finished talisman into the trash, and took out new materials to start over. After creating another talisman, Luo Lin yawned but didn't continue practicing.

Luo Lin simply tidied up the lab table, left the house, and went to an unoccupied apartment. This was another safe house for Luo Lin, and where he received certain letters from Backlund.

Luo Lin opened the mailbox and found a letter lying quietly inside. There was no postmark on the envelope, clearly indicating it had been delivered directly.

Luo Lin picked up the letter and, after entering the safe house, opened the envelope to examine its contents. This letter was naturally from Mr. A in Backlund. The letter mainly contained intelligence about extraordinary individuals recently active in Backlund, which was part of Luo Lin's transaction with the Aurora Order.

At the end of the letter, another matter was mentioned: Mr. A stated that someone seemed to be acquiring Rosell's Diary recently. He had already sold the diaries Luo Lin provided, as per Luo Lin's previous instructions.

Luo Lin then raised an eyebrow, a playful smile appearing on his face. "So, my 'Transmigration Diary' might appear at the Tarot Club soon. Too bad I'm not a member yet..."

"Once Mr. Fool sees the diary, he'll likely make guesses about my background. He'll definitely wonder if I wrote the diary and attempt to divine it. This way, the next time we meet, I'll know if the Grey Mist can truly exclude the interference of the Nyarlathotep fragment..."

Luo Lin muttered to himself. He had, of course, deliberately crafted his persona to be as it was, with the purpose of testing.

After all, even if Klein did divine that the diary came from him, it wouldn't really matter – a bright, naive, and playful college student forging some of Rosell's diaries to make money, wouldn't that be perfectly normal?

Luo Lin then thought of the "slacker duo" in Backlund. After some thought, he took out stationery and began to write a letter, not to Mr. A, but to Fors and Audrey.

In the letter, he first expressed his greetings to Fors and Audrey, then politely inquired about their progress in investigating Mr. Fool. Finally, he wrote:

"...I've investigated and found that the Abraham family seems to be a noble family from the Fourth Epoch's Tudor Empire. Due to their loyalty to the Blood Emperor, they have always been at odds with the Trensoost Empire. So, is there a possibility that the curse afflicting the Abraham family is related to the Trensoost Empire?

We all know that Backlund once belonged entirely to the Trensoost Empire, and some noble families even once served the Trensoost Empire. Therefore, might there be records of this in the collections of these ancient noble families?

Perhaps we could try to contact the nobles of Backlund to obtain this knowledge.

Your loyal friend, Jack Jones."

Luo Lin's purpose in writing this letter was none other than to guide Fors and Audrey to proactively contact Audrey and others, like Justice. After all, with his butterfly effect, Luo Lin wasn't entirely sure if Fors would still contact Audrey and the others as in the original story, driven by the desire to get Fors out of prison.

Luo Lin was not one to wait for fate. Thus, he chose to take the initiative. While other "slacker duos" might not care, when it came to the Full Moon curse, even the slackers would perk up.

After finishing the letter to the "slacker duo," Luo Lin felt inspired again and began writing letters to others. One to Mr. A, one to Azzik. After writing them, Luo Lin took out his pocket watch and checked the time. Seeing that it was past nine in the evening, he couldn't help but shake his head. "My sleep schedule, I'm really afraid I'll die of overwork."

Going to bed at nine in the evening wasn't too late, but Luo Lin had already been staying up for three days. If he continued, he felt he would soon be "riding the wind and returning to the heavens."

"Forget it, listen to good advice and eat well. I should go to bed early!" Luo Lin shook his head. First, he went to the post office and mailed the letters. Then, he returned home to catch up on sleep.

Monday, 3 PM.

Klein convened his third Tarot Club meeting.

He first congratulated Justice Audrey on her promotion to Sequence 9 Audience. Then, he obtained Rosell's Diary from Hanged Man Alger and Justice Audrey, beginning the traditional future Tarot Club activity – The Fool reading Rosell's Diary.

The first three pages of the diary were unremarkable. They mainly recorded Rosell's use of One Piece memes after transmigration, his discovery of an unnamed island, his initial resistance to an arranged marriage followed by a change of heart, and so on. While Klein gained various knowledge, he couldn't help but inwardly complain.

However, when Klein turned to the fourth page of the diary, which was the second page provided by Justice Audrey, he paused. The diary read:

"June 29th, Sunny.

It's been three days since I arrived in this world..."

The diary content wasn't extensive. It mainly recounted a transmigator who, after transmigrating, wanted to live a leisurely life but discovered that his transmigration identity had a formidable enemy. Thus, he had to strive to become a Thief, only to be caught by the enemy in the blink of an eye.

Yet, in the first three pages of Rosell's diary, Klein had only seen how Rosell joined the Steam Church and became a Scholar of Yore. Furthermore, Rosell's family after transmigration was the Gustav family. This page of the diary, however, stated that the diary's owner had transmigrated into a family called Soroyastor.

And the great enemy of this family was named Amon.

"If Rosell wasn't bored out of his mind and forged his own diary, it means this last page likely belongs to another transmigator," Klein muttered to himself, surprisingly without much emotion.

Mainly, he was used to it. When Klein had just transmigrated, he already knew about the major events caused by Rosell, the transmigator predecessor. Then, within a few days, Klein had encountered Jack Jones, a fellow countryman. Therefore, he was already prepared for the fact that there was more than one transmigator in this world, and possibly many.
