Background / History

Azzik was born as a Feathered Serpent and one of the God of Death's children. In the Bayron Empire, he survived the competition among his siblings, was judged “not bad” by his father, and became the Death Consul. Despite ruling the empire, he was fundamentally a puppet controlled by the God of Death. 401

The Death Consul eventually developed a sense of self and emotions after encountering his future self. This humanity led him to resist the God of Death's command to execute the Pale Disaster. He was severely injured, later controlled again, and ultimately caught in the consequences of the God of Death's defeat: his soul was split, with one half becoming connected to the God of Death's Uniqueness and the other entering repeated reincarnation. 402

During one reincarnation, Azzik became a father and experienced love and loss before forgetting that life again. In his current life, he became a history teacher at Hoy University, possessing unusual powers but fearing that investigating his past would destroy his peaceful existence. 402 403

At Hoy University, he met Klein Moretti and Jack Jones. Their involvement in extraordinary events, along with Luo Lin's summoning of Azzik's daughter from the past, forced him to confront the memories he had avoided. 31 32 403

Personality

Azzik is consistently gentle, kind, and considerate. Even while desperate to recover his memories, he worries about harming others or imposing on them; when asking Klein to investigate his origin, he explicitly tells him not to take unnecessary risks. 11 30 31

His compassion is closely tied to his humanity as a father. Reuniting with his daughter gives him both immense joy and profound grief, while her request that Klein and Luo Lin care for him deepens his fatherly attachment to them. 31 32 33

Though initially passive and uncertain, Azzik becomes determined to control his fate rather than wait to be consumed by his other half or the God of Death. Azzik appears as a gentle history teacher interested in the Antigonus family. He cannot remember his origin, parents, pathway, or full range of powers, leading him to ask Klein for help uncovering his past. 11 30

Recovery of His Daughter's Memories

Luo Lin uses the Time Gem to summon a shadow of Azzik's daughter. Their reunion restores memories of Azzik's fatherhood, gives him an emotional anchor, and motivates him to investigate his identity actively. 31 32 33

Confronting the Death Consul

After learning that the Death Church's Artificial God of Death is tied to his other soul half, Azzik resolves to meet his past self. He rejects a future of endless reincarnation and chooses to “defeat divinity with humanity.” 142 145

Azzik meets the Death Consul and accepts him as his own suppressed past. The two recognize each other's longing for happiness, and Azzik promises to save his past rather than be consumed by it. 149 150

Reclaiming the Death Church

Azzik joins Luo Lin's reform movement and agrees to use his identity as a descendant of the God of Death to influence the Death Church in the Southern Continent. He later performs the role of the old Death Consul to secure the Church's submission and eventually takes it over. 141 264 397

Soul Fusion

With Luo Lin and the Goddess of the Night's assistance, Azzik enters the God of Death's Mausoleum and confronts the Feathered Serpent containing his other soul half. Rather than retreating into reincarnation, he chooses to gain enough power to protect those he loves. 399 400

Azzik ultimately merges with the Feathered Serpent, becoming both Azzik and the Death Consul while retaining Azzik's humanity as the dominant personality. He emerges as an Angel of Kings. 403
