Your grandpa Purple Carapace is here
After a few more days, it was time for Inquisitor Valens to leave.
He has been staying at the Governor's Palace in Bolomite for the past few days. Every morning he goes for a walk in the square, then maybe strolls around the market, maybe goes to the Industrial Zone to watch the workers at work, maybe goes to the residential area to watch the children play ball, or goes to the Orbital Defense Center to watch the patrol boats take off and land.
It is truly a very, very rare peaceful and stable world.
With Lin En here, even the Chaos within the Maelstrom dared not emerge.
Inquisitor Valens sat down on a bench by the street and quietly enjoyed the breeze.
His subordinates' gazes towards him changed.
My god, you really scared me!
I never imagined you were this kind of person.
Valens: "..."
Valens really wanted to ignore their gazes, but they were just too intense to ignore.
He opened his eyes helplessly.
All right.
Perhaps it's time for them to go back.
If they stay any longer, they'll be on vacation, not inspecting.
He is the Grand Inquisitor of the Inquisition... He came on a mission... The Inquisition is probably still waiting for his report... Well, duty comes first.
Valens stood up helplessly.
"Todia, go and inform the Governor's Palace that everything is settled and we are preparing to return. Governor Cecilia, please do not make a fuss about seeing us off. We will depart from the port on the Eye of Truth around noon today."
"Yes, sir." The deputy acknowledged the order and left.
Then, a short while later, the deputy returned.
Valens turned to look at him. "Has the message been delivered?"
"The notification arrived, but there's been a slight disagreement," the deputy reported. "Sir, I ran into Lord Lin En when I went in. Lord Lin En said he understood and would personally escort us back to orbit."
Valens: "..."
Was Lord Lin En being a little too polite to them? This attitude was making him feel quite uneasy.
"Go and tell Lord Lin En that there's no need for that; we can leave on our own. Lord Lin En is very busy and there's no need for him to see us off personally."
The deputy went again.
Then it came back a few minutes later.
The deputy reported, "Lord Lin En said it must be sent, and preparations are underway."
Valens: "..."
This time, Valens did not refuse.
Lin En has already put it this way; if he refuses too much, he'll seem ungrateful.
Valens, accompanied by his deputy, recorder, and attendants, left the Governor's Palace with their luggage.
His luggage was simple, just two suitcases. He didn't buy any souvenirs or local specialties (mainly because Bolomite didn't have any; the only thing that could be considered a local specialty was military weapons). He just carried the instruments and documents he had brought with him and said goodbye to Cecilia and the others.
Cecilia and Lin En escorted him out of the Governor's Palace.
After saying goodbye, Cecilia stayed behind; her position as governor really had a lot of paperwork to handle.
Lin En and the three Chapter Master drove the group in Thunderhawk Gunship all the way to the planet's orbit.
The Eye of Truth is ready, the gangway has been lowered, and it's just waiting for them to board.
Valens and his group were preparing to board the ship.
Valens walked up the gangway, stood at the top of the dock, stopped, and turned to look at Lin En: "Lord Lin En, thank you for taking care of us these past few days. This will be enough. We apologize for the trouble."
Lin En waved his hand. "No trouble at all, no trouble at all. Is Your Inquisitor staying comfortably?"
Valens nodded. "It's really good, even better Terra."
Lin En chuckled, "Hey~ I won't talk about it, I won't, that won't do, that's disloyal."
Inquisitor Valens chuckled because his remarks were so outrageous.
Lin En smiled and waved to him, "Come visit often, Mr. Valens. You're welcome anytime. I'll issue you Bolomite entry permit later."
"Definitely, thank you so much for your invitation."
Inquisitor Valens nodded gratefully and bowed slightly. "Lin En Lynn, I will submit the report truthfully upon my return. I will not conceal or exaggerate anything in the report. Bolomite is excellent, Echo Star is excellent, the Purple Carapace Chapter is stable, and you yourself are impeccable."
"Uh~" Lin En waved her hand sheepishly, "Actually, it's not that great..."
Valens looked at him, lowering his voice slightly. "Lord Lin En, you should be a role model for everyone in the Imperium."
"You flatter me, you flatter me."
"No flattery, Lord Lin En." Valens chuckled again; he had laughed more in the last few days than he had in the past year.
"If only the Imperium had more people like you."
Surely they will have a brighter Imperium then?
Lin En didn't dare to reply, thinking to himself that if the Imperium had more people like him, the Yellow Pelt would be flying high.
Inquisitor Valens continued, "I will certainly guide my radical colleagues in the Inquisition when I return."
He will tell them everything he saw, heard, and recorded in Bolomite.
Lord Lin En is not what they think. Their Inquisition should not waste its energy on dividing its own people. The Imperium needs unity and a united front against external Imperium, not on focusing on its own hopes.
Lin En smiled and said, "With Inquisitor Valens in the Inquisition, I feel very reassured."
Inquisitor Valens shouldn't face any difficulties after he returns.
If anyone disagrees, they are welcome to come to Bolomite and find him anytime. He's right here, and anyone with a discerning eye is welcome to come and challenge him.
Valens nodded.
"Then, Lord Lin En."
"Valens"
Take care, and I hope to see you again next time.
Take care, and see you later.
"Until we meet again." Valens nodded and turned to walk into the cabin.
He took two steps, stopped, and looked back once more.
Lin En stood at the docking hatch, one hand in his pocket, waving to him with the other.
Beside him stood two Custodian Tribune, behind them were Phoros, Gabriel, and Sentoyor, and further behind were the three high-ranking officers of the Chapter, standing in rows.
Behind them were the Starport's Mortals Guard Army, dressed neatly and cleanly.
What a civilized world this is!
If he is fortunate enough to retire in the future, he will probably choose to live in Bolomite.
Valens waved to Lin En one last time, then walked up the gangway and into the cabin.
His deputies followed him inside.
Then the hatch closed.
The gangway retracted, the Engine ignited, blue-white flames spewed from the nozzles, the hull rose, and the Eye of Truth broke free from the magnetic attraction of the docking port, accelerating from slow to fast before flying out of the starport.
Lin En and his companions watched the Eye of Truth disappear.
Then Lin En turned around and hurriedly called to Phoros and the others, "Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up! We have our own things to do!!!"
*******
Inquisitor Valens has left.
Next, Lin En will lead these Tyranids to hurl elbows at the Tyranids Greenskins Drukhari / Necrons /Tau throughout the Imperium.
Regardless of who it is.
They'll beat up whoever they can catch.
I'll hit you if I want to, why should I care what kind of person you are?
If he were of another race, he might find it particularly cruel.
But since he's human, things are different.
Excuse me.
Fight! Fight them all!
Go! All of you, go!
The broadsword swung down on the heads of the Japanese soldiers!
Our first stop was a planet near the Maelstrom Galaxy that was occupied by the Greenskins warlords.
The first planet was called Isman, which was also a former mining planet, much like Slaughterhouse III Planet, where the Lamenters had just fought the Greenskins.
The Imperium Archives refer to it as the Pre-Mining World.
This was originally a mining planet belonging to an Imperium, but now it has been marked as "occupied by Greenskin Orks, low recycling value, not recommended for recapture."
There are too many Imperium planets, and the Greenskins are endless. Imperium planets are often invaded by Greenskins and fall into the hands of those Greenskins beasts, becoming Greenskins arsenals.
The Imperium is at a disadvantage when it comes to massing troops compared to the Greenskins. The Greenskins reproduce by spores, producing a new batch every ten days or so, and killing one will cause a whole new brood to grow, with more and more being killed.
The Imperium will weigh the benefits of the planet's resources against the casualties that would result from eliminating the Greenskins.
If planetary reclaiming yields meager returns, the Imperium will abandon planets invaded by the Greenskins.
But okay, okay, it's all right now.
Your Purple Carapace Chapter grandpa is here.
