Brother Dun slapped his pointy head
The Emperor's Envoy's Psychic Storm tore a path through the battlefield.
The Chaos Vanguard formation was broken up, and the demons and warships were blown to pieces.
Abaddon frowned.
But Abaddon was no pushover either.
The red and green dots on the star chart were a jumbled mess, but that wasn't a problem for him at all.
The Imperial Navy's three-tiered firepower configuration consisted of the Night Goddess anchoring the center, the Blood Angels flanking from both sides, and the Zerg Hive patrolling the perimeter. The Emperor's Envoy used his psionic aura as the axis, with the entire defensive line revolving around it.
If you can't hit the pivot, then hit the part that the pivot can't reach.
He gripped the Talon of Horus in his hand.
The energy field on his claws hummed, and he locked those suppressed memories back deep into his mind.
Then it raised its claws and swung them forward, immediately adjusting its deployment!
"The Chaos ships dispersed, pressing in from multiple directions simultaneously!"
"Wide their defensive perimeter! The Vengeful Spirit in the center, all cruisers divided into three groups: one on each flank and one in the middle, forcing that Emperor's Envoy to defend only one direction!"
"All escort cruisers should disperse into independent battle groups, not concentrated, and fight independently, moving from the edge of the storm inwards, and engaging in combat as soon as they get in!"
Their numbers were several times that of the Imperial Navy, and that was their advantage.
The Emperor's Envoy's Psychic Storm could only cover one direction; it couldn't cover all directions.
As orders were relayed, the Chaos Ships began to move.
The formation that had been huddled together and pressing forward just moments before dispersed.
The Black Legion's ships adjusted their course, splitting from one attack axis into three lines, all pressing forward simultaneously and charging towards the Imperial Navy from three directions.
Abaddon braced the Talon of Horus against the tactical platform.
Let that Emperor's Envoy run all over the place; let's see how many directions he can run in.
Lin En frowned.
The Chaos faction's more than three hundred ships dispersed into independent battle groups, pressing in from all directions.
Your Brother Dun's ten thousand years of fighting weren't for nothing.
Even if their defenses are breached and their core beliefs are exposed, they will still fight.
Old Yin Bi.
"All ships, maintain formation, don't scatter." Lin En frowned as he pulled over the communicator. "Ignore the scattered Chaos ships, concentrate fire on the large ones, and let the Hive Fleet and Solar Fleet deal with the smaller ones that slip through."
Most of the Chaos ships were stopped by the Astartes warships ahead, but some still managed to break through the defenses at the edges and corners.
The communications station crackled with a distress call from the Solar Fleet's Third Squadron: "Enemy ships have breached the third defensive line! Three Chaos Cruisers have broken in from the flank and are attacking our supply ships! Requesting backup!"
Lin En glanced down at the star map; three red dots were positioned at the third defensive line, attempting to attack the Solar Fleet's ships.
They don't have enough ships, so the area they can block is limited. If they spread out, it will be difficult to fight them.
Moreover, his current aura is limited, and the area it can cover for Thirty Days is also limited; areas that the aura cannot cover will not be covered by Thirty Days.
Damn it! I knew 240 psionic energy was still too little!
Lin En was ready to activate his Psychic Overload at any time to inflate himself to the Demigod.
However, Psychic Overload can only be used once every twenty-four hours, he was still reluctant to reveal his trump card here.
The Daemon Primarchs hasn't even appeared yet, how could he reveal his trump card to these small fry?
Be patient, just a little more patient.
Lin En switches to [Dimensional Slash].
Damn it.
If you dare to disagree, I'll cut you down with one sword!
A blinding flash of lightning enveloped the three closest Chaos cruisers.
The three ships had just broken in from the left side of the third line of defense, and before they could even make a move, their vision suddenly went blurry.
Space split open in the middle of the nearest cruiser's hull, from bow to stern.
The fragments tumbled and scattered outwards in the void; the three ships went from breaking through the defenses to becoming wrecked in less than five seconds.
Sever the three closest Chaos cruisers.
Then Lin En activated the second wave of [Psychic Storm].
The storm swept along the outer edge of the Imperium lines, heading towards the direction of the Solar Fleet's defenses.
Most of the Chaos ships had just broken through the defenses and hadn't even had a chance to show their skills when they looked up and saw the golden vortex rushing towards them.
The storm swept away the Chaos ships that rushed in.
The Chaos Warship, swept away, spun out of the defensive line and collided with another Chaos cruiser behind it.
The two ships collided and exploded into fireballs.
The smaller Escort Frigate tumbled a dozen times in the whirlpool, flying hundreds of kilometers away.
Now is the time to plug the gap in the defense line.
Lin En grabbed the communicator. "Solar Fleet First Squadron, move to the left and patch the gap on the left side of the third defensive line. Blood Angels Third Successor Chapter, move to the right and connect with the Flesh Tearers, extending to both flanks and widening the outer perimeter's patrol range by another ten kilometers."
All ships responded to the order.
Blue dots moved across the star map, and several gaps slowly closed.
Lin En put the communicator back, sat down in the command chair, and tapped his fingers twice on the armrest.
The defense line has been temporarily stabilized.
Abaddon still has over a hundred ships that haven't moved. He hasn't figured out what that bastard is planning yet.
What is Abaddon thinking?
Seeing that Lin En was interfering with the battlefield, Brother Dun patted his pointed head and decided to personally lead the team to jump over the board and charge into the middle section.
That Emperor's Envoy is really difficult to deal with.
Not only are they good at fighting, but they also know how to pick their timing. He had just dispersed his forces when the storm came, just waiting for him to change formation.
This kind of fighting can't go on.
That combination of the Emperor's Envoy's aura and storm is too much of an advantage; after a few rounds of back-and-forth, they'll be worn down by him.
Abaddon looked up. "The Vengeful Spirit, prepare to board. Terminator Squad, assemble."
The communications officer on the bridge paused for a moment, then quickly relayed the order.
Abaddon walked out without looking back.
He led his men directly to the board.
They stormed into the warship to see how Lin En would still use his Stormbreaker.
The corridors of the Vengeful Spirit were filled with dim red emergency lights, and rusty chains hung from the pipes.
Abaddon walked along the corridor toward the hangar.
When he reached the hangar entrance, the Terminator Squad was already lined up, dozens of heavy black Power Armor standing silently at the door.
Those here are all elite veterans of the Black Legion; their faces are obscured by their helmets, but their bearing is fierce.
Abaddon stood in front of the Terminator Squad.
All eyes were on him.
Abaddon raised the Talon of Horus, its tip reflecting a sharp, cold light under the hangar lights.
"Our enemies filled space with storms, thinking that this would stop the Black Legion."
"Warriors of the Black Legion, tell me, can he?!"
"No!" the Black Legion's Terminators shouted in unison.
"Alright! Then let's board them, charge in, cut off their heads, and send them all to their fake False Emperor!"
"Kill!" the Terminator Squad shouted in unison, their voices shaking the hangar ceiling.
The Vengeful Spirit, leading ten capital ships, charged straight into the first line of defense of the Solar Fleet.
On the star map, a red dot suddenly shot upwards, forming an arrowhead formation with the Vengeful Spirit at the center and leading the way. The ten capital ships following behind were all old guard from the Black Legion, their hulls adorned with ten thousand years of rust and malevolent light. Their cannons were fully open, pressing towards the first line of defense of the Solar Fleet.
Facing the charging Vengeful Spirit, Aurelian Dreadnought commanded, "Spear of Terra, all guns open fire! Don't stop!"
The main guns of the Spear of Terra fired continuously, all gun crews fired freely, the torpedo tubes were emptied, and the gun barrels were red-hot.
A Chaos cruiser was broken in two by its drapes.
But the Gloriana, Vengeful Spirit, is not something an ordinary battleship can sway.
The Vengeful Spirit charged forward under heavy fire.
Rows of side hatches opened on the Vengeful Spirit Vengeful Spirit, and Landing Craft were launched from it.
Abaddon and his men boarded the ship!
More than a dozen giant Landing Craft detached from the Vengeful Spirit and hurtled toward the Spear of Terra, trailing flames.
The Boarding Torpedo burned through the armor, and the Landing Craft following behind crashed into the hull of the Spear of Terra.
The damage Control Console on the bridge of the Spear of Terra instantly flashed a row of red lights, with breaches reported in succession from the third, fifth, and seventh sections of the broadside.
Aurelian stared at the alert that popped up on the damage Control Console: "Enemy boarding! All personnel prepare for boarding action!!!!!"
Three large holes were pierced through the side of the ship, the hangar was lost, and the Chaos Space Marines were advancing deeper into the ship's interior.
"Announce to the entire ship: boarding action!! All army units, proceed to the decks and hold all sections! Bring out all heavy weapons!! Even if we die, we cannot allow them to control our ships and betray the Emperor!!!"
Without hesitation, the soldiers jumped down from their gun positions, grabbed their rifles, and ran towards the breach.
They are the Solar Fleet.
To guard the Solar Sector for the Emperor.
They were the Emperor's personal guards.
I will never betray the Emperor.
The Imperial Navy Marines aboard the Spear of Terra were already lined up in the deck passageway, with Heavy Bolter mounted and aimed at the breach.
Aurelian turned his gaze from the damage panel and glanced at the Golden Light outside the Porthole.
"Quickly! Report to Lord Lin En! The Vengeful Spirit has boarded! Abaddon himself has led his men into the Spear of Terra!"
