Green used forceful measures to deal with the citizens gathering outside the castle gates to cause trouble. Without lingering, he headed straight for the stables.

The stables stood on the eastern side of the castle courtyard, built against the castle walls, and were quite spacious. More than twenty horses were usually kept there. With the onset of the Industrial Revolution, horses had gradually become less useful; keeping them had changed from a necessity for war and production into an aristocratic pastime. Of the horses in Wilson Castle's stables, aside from sixteen workhorses that pulled carriages, the rest were delicate purebred racehorses, now serving as a medium for socializing among nobles.

Yet when Green arrived at the stables, he found a complete mess inside. More than twenty horses lay in pools of blood, some still kicking their legs. They had clearly only just died.

A pungent stench of blood hit his nose. Green frowned, then summoned Holly and asked, "Can you sense who has been here?"

Holly nodded. "It's Nancy and Lily's aura. Only they would make such a bloody mess of flesh and gore."

"Two of them?" Green pondered. "How do they compare to you in strength? Do they have any weaknesses?"

"Hmm~~~" Holly thought for a moment. "Individually, neither is as strong as I am, but they used to be twins. Together, they're definitely stronger than me. As for weaknesses..." As she spoke, Holly looked at the Ghost Eye pendant wrapped around Green's wrist. "They must also be restrained by that thing. Other than that, they don't really have any weaknesses."

Green had not expected to get much from the question. His main reason for summoning Holly had been to sense whether any other Xignos Banshees were nearby. They had originally been one entity, so even after being separated, they still retained a connection with one another.

Green gave a surprised sound and looked up, a grave expression appearing on his face.

In barely a dozen seconds, the light grew dimmer and dimmer, until it was like evening during the rainy season.

Green stopped to watch, sensing the atmosphere around him becoming increasingly gloomy. Negative emotions kept breeding within him, making him want to either roar madly or burst into tears.

"Master, I can sense Nancy and Lily! They're nearby!" Holly suddenly warned him.

Green raised his guard and summoned his entire ghost force at once. His heart was in turmoil as he thought, What is going on with this sudden overcast sky? Could one of the Xignos Banshees have the ability to control the weather? With Holly's strength as his benchmark, Green had never paid much attention to the remaining five Xignos Banshees. The six banshees' strength was only passable, though their potential was immense. They were not powerful yet, but if one of them could control the weather, that would be another matter entirely.

Fortunately, Green's concern was quickly dispelled. The sudden dark clouds and overcast sky were not aimed at Wilson Castle. Rather, the entire urban area of Landon City was blanketed in dense darkness, with lightning and torrential rain appearing as well. The situation was especially severe in the direction of City Hall.

That immediately reminded Green of the powerful anomaly he had encountered with Lola before, one that could bring heavy rain merely by passing through and affect people's sanity.

"Could that anomaly be attacking City Hall?" Green sucked in a cold breath. It had been many years since an anomaly had attacked a government department of the kingdom.

With the Kingdom Knights Order and enchanted firearms and artillery, the governments of most nations on the continent had gained the ability to contend with powerful anomalies. This had created an unspoken understanding of mutual nonaggression between governments and anomalies. Yet now, an anomaly was actively attacking Landon City's City Hall. This undoubtedly shattered that fragile balance and tacit understanding, and would surely bring unforeseeable consequences to the Northwest Province, or even the entire Lorenzo Kingdom.

Green withdrew his gaze. City Hall was still some distance from Wilson Castle. Since an anomaly was openly attacking City Hall, the kingdom government could have the headache. With his current strength and status, he could not yet take part in events of that level. The most important thing now was to capture the remaining Xignos Banshees.

As long as he gathered all six Xignos Banshees, Green could move heaven and earth to obtain a Xignos corpse, even if it was only a juvenile Xignos Giant Python. With the Graveyard's assistance, he could fuse it into a Giant Corpse Witch. That would be a high-level undead creature second only to dragons, possessing the strength of an Archmage.

Soon, the sky turned completely dark, so black that one could not see their hand in front of their face. Icy raindrops struck his face amid the howling wind.

Green stood motionless, but he had already activated Death Spirit Sight. He discovered two vague figures hiding beyond the rear wall of the stables, peering through the thick stone wall in this direction with furtive ill intent.

Green sneered inwardly and remained still. He had already laid down a net that covered heaven and earth, quietly waiting for them to approach.

With the darkness and the naturally elusive movements of spirit bodies, Nancy and Lily believed Green could not detect them. They did not know that Holly had warned Green the moment they drew near. After waiting briefly, the two slipped through the darkness and began closing in on Green's position. To them, the aura of a Necromancer on Green's body held an intensely powerful attraction. Moreover, Xignos Banshees were not particularly intelligent to begin with. They were undead creatures, after all—their heads were not very quick.

In the darkness, two figures floated over. They were visibly shaped like two young girls. Their features could not be seen clearly, but one could sense that their expressions were twisted and savage as they prepared to pounce on Green like prey and drain him dry of blood.

Unfortunately, Nancy and Lily were destined to be disappointed this time. When they came within less than four meters of Green, a smile appeared on his face. His lips moved as he murmured softly, "So I didn't wait this long for nothing. Since you've come, both of you can stay."

As he spoke, Green waved his hand. The Ghost Eye he had been gripping instantly activated. As magic power surged through it, it emitted a burst of light that immediately caught Nancy and Lily.

The two Xignos Banshees were instantly horrified. They let out piercing shrieks and struggled frantically, trying to break free from the pulling force.

Green also kept surging magic power, pouring it into the Ghost Eye regardless of cost, yet he ultimately could not swallow two Xignos Banshees at once. Green's brows drew tightly together. He did not want to make a choice, but at this moment, he could only prioritize one. Gritting his teeth, he released one Xignos Banshee with a thought and directed the Ghost Eye's full pulling force at the other. The effect was immediate. The released figure instantly broke free and fled swiftly in the direction she had come from. The other was held fast, and no matter how she struggled, it was useless. Seeing that escape was hopeless, she fought like a trapped beast. Rather than retreating, she suddenly advanced, baring her fangs and brandishing her claws as she lunged at Green.
