Ch. 221Abyssal Demon
Key plot points and events
- Viscount Luciwang’s unusual strength and apparent preference for young virgins are revealed to be part of a bargain with an Abyssal Demon. He has sacrificed girls’ blood and souls in exchange for a stronger body and longer life, while the Demon’s mark gradually transforms him into a possible vessel.
- When the Viscount hears someone outside his study, he fires his enchanted pistol at Freya. She blocks the bullets with a Bone Shield, but it is close to breaking until Green sends her Psychic Energy to reinforce it.
- Green names Freya his chosen Divine Agent. She accepts the role with fervent devotion, and her Faith Power rises.
- Freya attacks the Viscount with a massive Bone Claw. The Abyssal Demon tries to stop her with a deadly Fireball, but Green summons one of the Flame Archangel Holly’s arms, which crushes the spell. Holly’s flaming blade then slices through the desk, the Demon’s summoning array, and much of the surrounding structure.
- Freya kills the Viscount. Green receives a large Psychic Energy reward for the death of the Demon’s contract holder and returns some of it to Freya, raising her to Bone Mage level 3.
- As armed bodyguards gather outside the study, Freya confronts them confidently. Her upgraded Bone Claw Spell now creates two long-reaching claws that move in coordination with her hands.
Character developments
- Freya moves from frightened captive to confident combatant and devoted Divine Agent. Her faith in Green lets her act fearlessly even when facing the Demon’s attack.

- The Abyssal Demon is revealed as the power behind the Viscount’s sacrifices and transformation. Its attempt to protect its contract holder fails.
