Background and History

Qian Juechen is the son of former Spirit Hall Pope Qian Xunji and Feng Qingyao of the Wind Sword Sect. Qingyao died giving birth to him. He inherited a mutated sword martial soul rather than the Qian family’s Six-Winged Angel and was denied succession to the papacy as a child 1 7.

After his warnings about Bibi Dong went unheeded, he left Spirit Hall with his caretaker, Uncle Fu. He spent nearly twenty years traveling and cultivating, seeking the strength to change the future he foresaw. When Fu died, Juechen brought his remains back to the Wind Sword Sect before returning to Spirit City 1 2.

At the Worship Hall, Juechen challenged his grandfather Qian Daoliu over Bibi Dong’s succession, his younger sister Qian Renxue’s secret mission, and the concealment of Qian Xunji’s murder. Qian Daoliu gave him authority to act. Juechen locked down Spirit City, confronted Bibi Dong at the Papal Palace, and killed her with a four-sword fusion attack 7 8 9 10 16 17.

Qian Daoliu then transferred authority over Spirit Hall to Juechen. As Pope, Juechen punished officials whose abuses were proven, retained less culpable former supporters of Bibi Dong, and rewarded loyal veterans of his father’s administration 18 23.

Juechen is a blond young man who wears white and bears a striking resemblance to Qian Xunji, though observers find his bearing more heroic and his expression less sly 1 2.
