Ruler of the Extreme North

The Snow Empress is the undisputed ruler of the Extreme North, where Soul Beasts treat her with reverence. Even her adopted daughter, Xiao Bai, ordinarily approaches her deferentially. She and the Ice Empress have been close companions for hundreds of thousands of years 23 24 30.

Her previous Heavenly Tribulation damaged her Origin, leaving her poorly placed to survive the approaching seventh, seven-hundred-thousand-year tribulation. She found a Hundred-Thousand-Year Snow Lotus while searching for treasures to help the Ice Empress, but her friend insisted that she keep it for herself. Even with the lotus, the Snow Empress considered her own survival chances slim 23 24.

Joining the God-Making Team

Using the Extreme North’s snowflakes to observe events, she discovers that Tian Meng has captured the Ice Empress. Jiang Ziya calls her out of hiding, and she appears ready to confront the group until the Ice Empress asks her not to attack 22 23 25.

The Ice Empress explains that her damaged Origin makes another tribulation dangerous enough to justify Tian Meng’s God-Making Plan. Jiang Ziya’s assurance that he can help them attain godhood reassures the Snow Empress. Tian Meng then offers her two possibilities: remain near Yuhao’s Auspicious Beast Martial Soul to ease her tribulations, or, if necessary, sacrifice herself and become his Wisdom Spirit Ring. Wanting both to survive and to remain with her closest friend, she agrees and shakes Yuhao’s hand 23.

She guards the Ice Empress’s fusion with Yuhao alongside Jiang Ziya. During their conversation, Jiang challenges her understanding of gods as beings possessing eternal life and absolute power, explaining that gods in his world instead hold duties toward mortals 23 24.

Life Among Humans

The Snow Empress accompanies Yuhao back to Star Luo City under the invented identity Emperor Snow. Their cover presents her as the grand elder of a secluded Ice God-worshipping family seeking talented ice Soul Masters. She allows Yuhao to decide whether to remain in the Empire rather than demanding that he follow her north 29.

Huo Yun’er’s hospitality introduces her to an unfamiliar kind of warmth. She enjoys Yun’er’s grilled fish, accepts lodging in the family courtyard, and chooses the room nearest Yuhao to benefit from his Martial Soul. When Xu Jiawei offers her an imperial estate and the position of deputy hall master of the Worship Hall, she declines both: her purpose is to remain with Yuhao and teach him 30.

She continues instructing Yuhao through the three years following his mother’s death. Alongside teaching techniques, she explains the slower advancement of Soul Masters with ultimate attributes and supports Xu Jiujiu’s effort to persuade him to take a day off 32 35.

Shrek Journey

The Snow Empress escorts Yuhao toward Shrek Academy, traveling around rather than through the Star Dou Great Forest. Along the way, they share a camp with Tang Ya and Bei Bei, who recognizes her exceptional strength despite being unable to sense her aura 38 39.

In Shrek City, Yuhao directs her to a Star Luo Empire base because the academy’s powerful residents might recognize her as a Soul Beast.
