Power Progression

Background and History

Huo Yuhao is the illegitimate son of White Tiger Duke Dai Hao and Huo Yun’er. He and his mother suffer abuse at the Duke’s Estate. After Dai Huabin attacks them, Yuhao retaliates, and Jiang Ziya helps them escape. Yuhao rejects the Dai surname and takes his mother’s name 1 2 4.

Princess Xu Jiujiu and Man Yi rescue the pair from pursuers and shelter them in Star Luo City. Yuhao recognizes that Xu Jiujiu also sees political value in his connection to the Duke; he accepts the Empire’s support in pursuit of strength and revenge 3 4 6.

During his first Spirit Ring hunt, Yuhao merges with Tian Meng and formally becomes Jiang Ziya’s disciple. Jiang creates his Four-Not-Like martial soul from the blank martial soul Tian Meng provided. Yuhao subsequently studies Soul Tools under Cheng Shitao while continuing his cultivation 9 10 11 17.

In the Extreme North, he gains the Ice Empress’s power and then hunts a Mirror Shadow Beast for a Spirit Eyes ring. The Snow Empress accompanies him back to Star Luo and remains nearby to teach him 24 27 29 30.

Yuhao and Xu Jiujiu become engaged with the agreement of Xu Jiawei and Huo Yun’er. He divides his time between assisting at Starlight Auction House, studying Soul Tools, training with the Snow Empress, learning Jiang Ziya’s spells, and keeping his mother company. Three months later, he absorbs an Ice Jade Scorpion Spirit Bone provided by Xu Jiawei and reaches level 29 32.

After Huo Yun’er dies, Electrolux preserves her soul in his Minor Grotto-Heaven, leaving Yuhao with the hope of bringing her back when he is strong enough. Yuhao spends the following three years training intensely. On learning that Dai Huabin will attend Shrek Academy, he obtains a recommendation letter and travels to Shrek City to confront him 34 35 36 39.

Jiang Ziya identifies Yuhao as a Child of Destiny. Yuhao comes to suspect that Tang San and Dai Mubai interfered with his family to control his destiny, and vows revenge against them. He later tells Gu Yuena that a god may have arranged his mother’s death and attempted to use her soul as leverage, although that scheme was thwarted 35 65 91.

Shrek Academy

Before leaving Star Luo City, Yuhao receives medicinal herbs and rare materials from Xu Jiujiu. He promises to return when school is out, and she kisses him at their farewell. On the journey, he and the Snow Empress meet Tang Ya and Bei Bei and share a meal with them 37 38.

At Shrek Academy, Jiang Ziya and Electrolux awaken after three years of slumber. Yuhao’s early confrontation with his roommate Wang Dong ends with him using an illusion, a clone, and an Ultimate Ice puppet to trick his opponent while recording the fight. He subsequently accepts Wang Dong’er’s apology and develops friendships with her and Xiao Xiao 41 42 48.

Besides confronting Dai Huabin, Yuhao intends to win over factions within Shrek, or at least secure their neutrality when he eventually settles accounts with the White Tiger Family. The Star Luo Imperial Family’s protection and his changed appearance have kept his identity concealed from the Duke’s Estate for years 45 65.

Ma Xiaotao seeks his assistance in suppressing her martial soul’s evil fire. After helping her, Yuhao obtains Yan Shaozhe’s agreement to provide cultivation manuals for ultimate martial souls and permission to study in the Soul Tool Department. During his visit to the Sea God’s Pavilion, Jiang Ziya and Electrolux also detect two souls within the Golden Ancient Tree, including a dormant one connected to Tang San 50 51 53.

Yuhao demonstrates his Level 4 Soul Engineer skills by making the Immortal Slaying Flying Knife. The resulting dispute between the academy’s departments ends with him receiving core disciple privileges in both, including high-quality food and assistance obtaining suitable Spirit Rings. He spends three months cultivating in the Sea God’s Pavilion, attending some Outer Court lessons, and studying Soul Tools under Xian Lin’er, reaching level 40 before the Freshman Competition 59 61 62 64.

Freshman Competition and Revenge

Yuhao competes alongside Wang Dong’er and Xiao Xiao. Against Huang Chutian and the Lan sisters, he uses an illusion to make Huang Chutian attack his own teammates before knocking him unconscious. His team later defeats Xie Huanyue’s team and Ning Tian’s team; after injuring Wu Feng, he heals her hands with his wood attribute 67 72 75.

During the competition, Yuhao tells his friends about his childhood abuse and his mother’s death. Although they offer to retaliate on his behalf, he insists on taking revenge himself 72.

In the final against Dai Huabin, Zhu Lu, and Cui Yajie, Yuhao employs ice clones armed with Ice Swords. He reveals his former identity to Dai Huabin and brutally beats him, breaking most of his teeth with the Steel Whip while recalling the suffering inflicted on him and his mother. Electrolux intervenes to warn him against being controlled by hatred, and Yuhao stops before kicking Dai Huabin off the platform. His team is declared the champion 78 80.

Afterward, Yuhao demands that Dai Huabin honor their recorded wager and rejects Dai Yueheng’s appeal to their shared blood. At the awards ceremony, he receives a Secret Art Spirit Bone for his team. He also accepts Ning Tian’s invitation to dinner in exchange for information about the White Tiger Family 81 83.

Return to the Star Dou Great Forest

Having reached level 40, Yuhao seeks a Silver Hero Beast for his fourth Spirit Eyes ring. He declines constant protection and asks the Snow Empress to intervene only if he faces danger he cannot handle. After she takes him to the Star Dou Great Forest, he conceals his auspicious aura and enters alone, encountering the Three-Eyed Golden Lion 85 87 88.

The Three-Eyed Golden Lion, Di Qiu’er, shares his kind of destiny and can discover him despite his concealment. She becomes affectionate toward him and promises to help fight his enemies once she grows stronger. Yuhao also discusses his hostility toward the Divine Realm with Gu Yuena 88 91.

With Jiang Ziya and Electrolux combining their arrays and Di Tian assisting with preparations, Yuhao forms a Soul Spirit Contract with a Silver Hero Beast. The contract provides his fourth ring without killing the beast, whom he names Xiao Yin, and raises him to level 41. Her Imprint ability mutates into Mental Replication, which he demonstrates before the Ferocious Beasts 93.

Before his return to Shrek, Gu Yuena’s reverse scale unexpectedly enters his body. Four-Not-Like absorbs most of its elemental power, completing its five ultimate elemental attributes and gaining a silver second Spirit Ring. Yuhao apologizes and resolves to repay her; Gu Yuena allows him to keep the depleted scale 98.

Back at Shrek, Yuhao presents the evolution to Mu En as the result of an encounter with an ancient Silver Dragon and absorption of her ring. He returns to the Sea God’s Pavilion with Di Qiu’er, then demonstrates Mental Replication to Xiao Xiao and Wang Dong’er by copying their martial souls. He also relieves Wang Dong’er’s abdominal pain with his newly strengthened wood attribute 101 102 103.

Appearance

Yuhao has blue hair and blue eyes. Care and nourishment after his escape leave him taller and healthier-looking; Four-Not-Like later gives him conspicuous antlers that he initially cannot retract 3 8 12 13.

• Martial Soul possession: Golden scales appear near his eyes and across his hands, which become dragon-like claws; Auspicious Clouds gather beneath his feet 11 14.
• Visible horns: They attract attention in Star Luo City and embarrass him 12 13.
• Developing double pupils: His eyes show signs of awakening the White Tiger bloodline’s double pupils. He conceals them with an illusion until Mu En asks him to reveal them 65.
• Silvery-white horns: His horns take on this appearance after absorbing Gu Yuena’s reverse scale 98.

Personality

Yuhao is protective of his mother and refuses to submit to the Duke’s household, even when he is badly outmatched. He is cautious with new allies, perceptive about Xu Jiujiu’s political motives, and willing to conceal sensitive details of his powers 1 3 6 13.

He pursues strength with unusual persistence, but remains grateful to those who help him. After his mother’s death, grief and anger make his training more relentless and his desire to confront Dai Huabin more urgent 10 24 35 36.

Yuhao regards Jiang Ziya and the spirits accompanying him as family. His ambition includes both restoring his mother to life and eventually confronting the divine figures he believes responsible for her death 34 35 91.

He can be playful and calculating, using elaborate deceptions to embarrass Wang Dong and later impersonating Wang Dong’er in class. Despite his ruthlessness toward Dai Huabin, he heals Wu Feng after their match and accepts Electrolux’s warning to stop his revenge from becoming uncontrolled cruelty 42 75 80 103.

Abilities and Skills

Spirit Eyes

Yuhao’s first martial soul is spiritual-type. Its limited direct offensive power initially motivates him to study Soul Tools 4 8.

• Spiritual Detection Sharing: Shares detailed all-direction perception with another person. Its demonstrated radius is fifty meters and can grow 14.
• Spiritual Shock: A mental attack used to stun the Mirror Shadow Beast 27.
• Spiritual Clone: Creates translucent copies at the cost of mental energy; the number depends on his reserves 27.
• Third-ring camouflage: Changes his visible appearance and coloring to blend into his surroundings, demonstrated while hiding from fleeing Soul Beasts 87.
• Combat illusions: Can mislead opponents about their surroundings and targets, as when Huang Chutian attacks the Lan sisters under his influence 67.
• Mental Replication: His fourth-ring skill, mutated from Xiao Yin’s Imprint. Replicates martial souls he has seen and retained in his mind, together with their Soul Skills. The copied skills’ power is limited by his own Soul Power Level 93 103.
• Demonstrated replications: Uses a Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda to increase Di Qiu’er’s speed, copies Wang Dong’er’s martial soul, and reproduces Xiao Xiao’s Three-Life Soul-Suppressing Cauldron and Cauldron’s Tremor 93 103.

Four-Not-Like

Jiang Ziya creates this auspicious-beast martial soul using Tian Meng’s Origin. It provides claws, scales and flight, and later gains Ultimate Ice through the Ice Empress 11 25.

Jiang Ziya also incorporates a drop of his junior fellow apprentice’s blood while forming the martial soul, causing traits such as Yuhao’s antlers to manifest physically. Its auspicious aura benefits nearby Soul Beasts: the Snow Empress finds that cultivating near him is faster than cultivating in the Extreme North’s most Soul Power-dense location 12 30.

• Auspicious Clouds: Allow Yuhao to fly without wings 11 13.
• Ceasefire Domain: An innate domain observed weakening offensive spirit skills by forty percent 14.
• Ice Emperor Bodyguard and Ice Emperor Possession: Protect him in close combat and help him block the Mirror Shadow Beast’s beam 27.
• Ice Emperor’s Pincer: Strengthens his claw attacks 27.
• Ultimate Ice constructs: Forms weapons and puppets from ice. He combines ice puppets with clones and illusions, and later uses successive sword-wielding ice clones in the Freshman Competition final. Controlling numerous clones simultaneously leaves them with limited intelligence and responsiveness 42 78 87.
• Ice Sword techniques: His sword attacks incorporate a trace of the Snow Empress’s Emperor Sword’s essence 75.

• Uses Spiritual Detection to monitor internal engraving while remotely controlling an Engraving Knife, allowing him to carve arrays inside an enclosed gourd-shaped tool 59.
